Far to many bars some must be a waste of time opening. But some do ok . Just not enough customers for all the bars in pattaya to make a good living.

It looks spacious and clean in the daytime but if it fills up with bikes it will look a mess and not as appealing to walk down like Soi 6 and LK Metro.
All pattaya needs is more bars not a nuft variety. 5:57

Great idea skipping breakfast to become an intermittent faster Trev 👍 My eating window has been 2pm to 7pm for the past couple of years with great results, but a few weeks back I made the switch to full-on one meal a day around 6pm.

You only need one vid of the Baht Bus along Beach Rd, and back along 2nd road, then just refer anyone that asks back to that.
You could do a vid on how to get a Baht Bus from Pattaya to say Jomtien.
Finding where to get on could be a bit confusing to a newbie.
Or maybe clarify whether a Baht Bus is viable for places like Pratumnak or the Night Market on Threpasit.... and if yes, how/where etc. Although they're probably better options for mototaxis or Bolt taxis...

The new complex has the same problem as Tree Town, with each bar competing with each other , on the volume of their music systems turned up to maximum. Enough of a reason not to go back there for me.
yeah has to be one total sound system to service all the bars
I personally love the “Easy Health” for a good and healthy breakfast. Walk up Soi Pothole to 3rd Road (about a block from Trev’s place Buzzin), take a right, and it’s ½ block down on your right. Your tummy will thank you.

The MYTH bar complex, I still think of as Made In Thailand bar complex. I was there a day ago. I had one drink and used the toilet and the toilets are actually quite nice. I heard the rents are rather high in this complex and fear many will not survive without a really high, high-season.

When I was in Pattaya last November I was amazed how many bars across the city were up for sale I be out in 5 weeks time ready to explore the beauty and peace ✌️ of mind I find in Pattaya no other place in the world 🌎🌎🌎 can match it

Walked though Myth, 90% of the bars are TOO small. Have a pool table where every shot hits a bar stool. Horrible.
Reminds me of The Base and Edge, super small 24 SQM condos which are all the rage (They are pure crap like a prison cell) and MYTH is the bar equivalent. Cramped and tight, LAME.

I would like to know more about baht bus. How to figure routes. Do they operate certain times or are they 24/7. I believe you mentioned a route that was 20 baht instead of 10. How would a rider know?

One of the first things I do when arriving in Pattaya or Phuket is to buy some cereal, milk, bread and butter. This is for those days when I don't want to go out for breakfast. I can sit in my condo and have breakfast. I'll even buy a toaster if my condo doesn't come with one

Lovely to meet you the other week trev, wish we'd come earlier so we could have a proper chat. We had a brilliant breakfast in Kungs whilst we were there. Pricier than some but totally worth it. Absolutley fantastic. So much so, we went again 2 days later and could get in as it was packed out. Speaks for itself.
Really missing Pattaya but we'll be back ASAP.

Hungry Hippo is really good. Have a variety of inexpensive options for any time of day. Like the protein heavy breakfast if you're trying to eat less carbs. Plus a great place for an inexpensive snack.

Always used hungry hippos on my last trip , unfortunately after a nights drinking if I eat greasy foods like a fry up the next morning it causes havoc on my stomach, love there menu which offers cereal and more light options and cheap as chips
I used to go for a cheap (under 100 baht) Thai breakfast at a large outdoor "restaurant" on the corner of Jomtien Beach road and Jomtien soi 3. This "restaurant" is very popular by Thais and it supplies food to the beach bed and seat rental owners, (how do you call them?) on Jomtien beach.

With proper access to Soi Buakhao and TreeTown this would flourish. Will still be succesful though due to central location I think, but not all bars will be open during low season.

Something you mentioned about Baht Busses, didn’t know they had one on Pattaya Klang on east side ?? Only thought Beach Rd, Bhukhao and the one that goes Jomtien

Hi Trev, serious question, do you ever feel exasperated from people constantly trying to fleece you in Thailand? Whether it's minor things like a simple food/drink/transport transaction or larger things like business dealings etc...? Seems to be a cultural thing that's hard as an Anglo to get used to. Can quickly turn you into a grumpy / paranoid git. Before anyone jumps in and says it's because of bargirls and other low lifes who may hang out in Pattaya, I've seen it in more "HiSo" Thais too. They're just better at it 😅
Being brutally honest at the beginning it rattled my cage, now I am just used to it and it's water off a ducks back.
@@Buzzinpattaya yes I think looking at the bigger picture like all of the positives of life / holidays there is important for perspective.

Fir a full English breakfast i liked Nicky's, its under a 100 bht before 1 pm , you get toadt and fried bread , again the price is about 90 bht , that was in August

I've heard you discuss Thailand's slander and libel laws, and people can get into some trouble by posting negative reviews. So are there any reliable reviews for restaurants if that's the case?
It's tough mate as if you leave a negative review the owners can respond. I would just go with your own instinct mate and check out popular venues

on the baht buses, we were staying in the wongamat/grand mirage hotel area and couldn't work out how the buses worked. we kept seeing them in the area. there seems to be some sort of interchange at the T21 roundabout where some scheduled services also go up Pattaya-Na Kluea Road, but it was a mystery to us. so maybe a summary of the non-central services would be useful

Years ago the problem finding a good English Breakfast was finding a place that had good sausages. Now there are dozens of places that have decent 'bangers' there, so it comes down to personal preference/location.

Kungs for breakfast, very very good.Try their chorizo sausage but have a fire extinguisher on standby, it's spicy but lovely.

I know you were talking breakfast which I rarely eat while in Pattaya, I would recommend general restaurants Sportsman and also Hunger Pangs are my must go to places. Big fan of Cheap Charlies also. I know you love Robin Hood's but in my couple experiences it is overpriced and overrated.

Yes, Robin hood can be extortionate. If I remember correctly, I was paying 370 baht for a pint of Guinness two years ago.
I live in Bangkok, and I've not paid that price.

So there is direct access from Tree town to Myth via made in Thailand….

Trev do the fish market and how to get there on a baht bus, its all changed there, used to get your fresh fish etc.. go sit on the grass etc .. but they dug up the grass.. so now its buy your fish etc, take it to 'resturant' give it to them they cook it fir you (bbq fried, boiled) and bring it to at your table. (Think its 35b pp for the table)

There is an indirect route into Tree Town. If you walk through the sliding gate at the rear of Myth Night and walk past about 3 bars on your right, there is a wide walk through into Tree Town.

The talk is that there will be 1 DJ for Myth Night. At the moment the discussion is the cost of laying cabling to all the bars in the complex. This was overhead by my partner today in the Myth Night office while paying October's bar rent.

My guess would be no, its really wall-to-wall tight in there. Not so much open space as you have in Tree Town.

Hi Trev, just a couple of thoughts.....Make Pattaya a family resort = kiss of death. Just an observation. Your always so positive and complementary about every bar/restaurant/massage. Try and be more opionated. I love this place, as you do so keep the general vibe upbeat. Last of all the best non buffet breakfast

I wouldn't bother with the baht bus mate, you see nothing. There is a good article in the Bangkok Post today on why not many people are coming from Europe and the USA etc. The ones that do are spending a lot less.
