Scotters… I just love your positivity; wonderful sense of humour - including laughing at yourselves; and just your zest for appreciating every small little blessing each day brings… WHY CAN’T YOU HAVE AT LEAST ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBERS???? You are THE BEST family entertainment… balm to my soul!
Cute pigsty. Maybe a Pig porch will keep the rain away from the plywood floor
Your excitement is quite contagious... glued me to the screen! I love how you guys just make things happen. Those piglets are going to be super happy!
Scotters trotters …how exciting …love how you recycled the old table into a piggy palace! Now I can’t get that song ‘ Mud mud, glorious mud’ out of my brain!
Those food buckets are too deep for piglets. They will fall in. Most people have 2-3inch pans for their piggies. (Even full grown). Their heads will be too fat to fit in the buckets. The tires are too deep als. Bury them at least halfway, and get a shallow pan that will fit into the rim. Also when building the ramp, don't make it too steep, make a gentle incline. And put some shallow cross bars, incase it gets wet so they can get up and down safely. (Like chicken coop ramp/ladders).
I can't wait kunekune are my favorites. They have so much personality. I could sit and play with them all day
BEWARE - pigs will eat their way through wood for fun. Wooden posts, wooden gates etc.
Your netting is wire so that is safe, but your wood will be destroyed if they can get their teeth on it.
You might need to upgrade to metal fencing posts (scaffold poles are good) and metal gates.
Love the new piggy palace, one suggestion would be to make a door at the other end of it so you can clean it out easier and you won’t have to crawl through dirty straw etc if you need to get to a poorly pig who is right at the back, also it will help with a through breeze for the piggies when it’s very hot. Can’t wait to see them when they settle in, running around and playing in their wallow (which I have to say is fabulous). Sending love from Devon 🥰
Those little piggies have a fantastic home. Great work guys.
A pig wallow is what your talking about pigs love to wallow in mud it acts as a sun screen and gets bugs of them .
Look at how Project Portugal built his pig houses. He also got his pigs from Cindy. Have you watched any of Cindy's videos on her total inadequate fencing for larger pigs! 😂
Piglets will be fun. I have a sneaking suspicion they'll grow much quicker than you think. You'll need to secure the fence to the ground with heavy stones or the pigs will dig under it. That wood won't be heavy enough after a few weeks. They can crawl through the gate as piglets.
Badger always comes up with the best ideas! Using the half rounds of the old table is genius! Well done clever man! The new family members are going to be fun to have around!🌷🌺🐽🐽🐽
If you watch Sarah and Lukes TH-cam channel you know that both their sows got pregnant by wild boars. Not an ideal thing to have pigs mixed with wild boars. They had quite a few piglets as well, not easy to get rid of them, who would want them?
Are you getting them from Cindy? Kune-kune are great pigs. They are also great escape artists so make sure you secure the fencing very well and if you have foxes around secure their night pen or they'll get snatched at night.☺ The piglets of course, not big pigs. Cindy has lost quite a lot of piglets through foxes coming at night. Your fence holes might be too big, piglets squeeze through it easy. Maybe put chicken mesh at the bottom too?
@@THESCOTTERS you probably knew all that already but i just wanted to inform in case you didn't know it.☺
Cindy’s pigs are so cute. 🥰
Have you seen how Sarah has trained her pigs Kune-Kune Pigs? They follow her around her land and she got them from Cindy.

First comment I see and it's exactly what I was going to say. You have never had so much trouble with a loose animal until you chase down pigs. My father in law used a place my ex and I had many years ago to put some pigs and they kept getting loose. The might think it's fun, but you will not. They are joyful critters though. Probably better than chickens. Elysia English has some and she is on TH-cam. Her and her husband Philip live in Nova Scotia now. You should ask her about them too.
Good luck!
Hi. It's interesting to see how many different uses Badger can make for pallets. He is so talented. I hope that you enjoy your piggies. Love from Pam in Grafton New South Wales, Australia.
Very lucky piglets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Piggies Palace Portugal
Wow
Pigs need mud to keep cool and protect their skin, so please make a mud bath in their garden!
Cindy’s piglets are adorable and trained to love human interaction. You are brave to start with 4. Their poop is great for compost. My only suggestion is to make one of the roof panels lift up so you can clean and put in fresh straw. Don’t think you will be crawling in there once pigs are in there😂. The kids will love them too❤
Hy guys 🦋when I got my 🐖 my brother told me that if I put all the droppings in one place in the beginning they will go on the same place to do their business 🫣I thought he was making fun of me but I did it anyway and it worked, when I let them outside in the morning and they went straight to the “toilet 😊 🦋 🇮🇸
Seriously you guys are ingenious! The way your repurpose materials amazes me.
Lucky pigs coming to be a member of your family, so loved by all.
How very very cute !! I can actually feel your excitement with the piggies 😊
You're going to love them. I was brought up on a pig farm. They are so intelligent and funny
You have created a great area for the piggies!
That mudbath looks great, they are going to love it. A short warning thou, pigs like to scratch their side on posts, trees etc., to get the dried mud off, so it might be a good idea to eighter make the thin posts from the shade thicker or offer them some freestanding thick post for scratching. That might keep your fenceposts alive for a bit longer. Pigs are pretty strong when grown up, even the smaller breeds. Have a wonderful sunday, Julia😊
Pigs are fun. The other comments have many good ideas for feeding and safety.
It's time to get your chicks. From tiny checks they will need five or six months to mature before you get any eggs.
Badger is the Pallet King. I think he could build anything from pallets. Your channel is so much fun to watch.
Happy for piglets. They may need a more shallow pan for food and water. Kune's are tiny.
Yay, you are getting piglets from Cindy!!!! She rocks and so do her pigs! I look forward to seeing which ones you choose. They will grow quite a bit. You'll need to make another pig sty later so they can all fit inside. The gate might be too small for them when they are full grown. The piggies will love the wallow. What a great idea to have the spring water flow down to their enclosure!
Love, love, love your videos!
Have a hallelujah week
Another increase to the Scotter family farm no wonder you were all excited, looking forward to the next episode have a great week you guys.
How exciting!!!! Can’t wait now for next Sunday!!!
I'm so excited with all your positive enthusiasm, can't wait to see them arrive to Piggy Palace!! ❤
fabulous news , so excited for you. what a sweet palace and beautiful family you are.xxxx you truly are such a delight.
Great news! Congratulations.
I too am so excited! What a brilliant idea. Those little piggies are going to have an amazing time. love you guys. Lilian Australia
Hello I am a pomme currently been living in NZ for 25 years also have pigs kune kune’s included I think that you will need a larger land ,ass for 4 fully grown kune kunes
The area is for while they are piglets! Don’t worry they will have plenty of room! Xx
Oh great, I was too premature about the mudbath, you have thought already about that 🤭🤭👍👍
What a happy brilliant video this week. So happy for you all. ❤❤
Yes, for year's they are talking about "Big Brother is Watching" . And now we are all in to keep our personal information save.
🤣😂I saw you on Cindys vlog the other week but didnt like to mention it as I didnt want to spoil your suprise.
Congratulations
You should speak to big nick about pig pens he’s always building them. Ask Cindy about nick and Andrea xx
Yaay how exciting ❤
Best thing I've heard all day...."NO...I'm going to keep them"💕💕💕💕I understand how many, many 'off grid' folk do all the growing/raising/killing of vege and livestock....but that would not be me. I had 6 very spoilt & super fed chickens way back and one by one they stopped laying over the many years and took their time to depart. I have ONE old girl left...she hasn't laid an egg for a year or so...but I still keep buying the mash from the produce agency....and still send the OH down to the shed along with a little bag of greens. Maybe I'd be a hopeless 'farmer/homesteader/whatever'...so I'll stick to trying to deprive the rodents of my little vege garden (especially my beautiful broccoli plants😒😒) produce...THEY, I have no problem with dispensing of. How exciting is this news after that mind boggling penthouse barn conversion😯😯👌👌
Should have only strimmed fence line & sty as you cut down lots pig food
Just when we think the Scotters couldn’t possibly get any more excitement on their land, here come some pigs!! 😅 I thought you were going to get some chickens first, lol!! You constantly keep us on our toes and that’s why I’m so glad I found your channel, never a dull moment! 😊💚
Pig pen is perfect. Now you need a camera so you can keep an eye on them.
Those spindly legs on that pig shelter are not going to cut it mates. The pigs will use them as scratching post and the whole lot will come tumbling down. Kune Kune's are so CUTE!!
I saw you picking up the pigs on Cindy's channel, and have been waiting for your announcement. What fun!
Beautiful piglet den. They will love it.
I have been waiting to see your piglets settle into your home with your family. I saw you on Cindy's channel when you went to see the piglets.
I can't wait to see the children's little faces when your piglets arrive.
Oh my Giddy Aunt, that is on of my sayings Kayla, you made me chuckle to myself. Brilliant work, and another brilliant video. Thank you. ❤💐
Kiddos are going to absolutely love the piglets.
I’m worried about foxes. In your pen design, please make sure you think about keeping the foxes out as well as keeping the piglets in!
The piggies are coming!
The piggies are coming!
How exciting, and the pen you have built is awesome!❤
The pigs will go through your fence holes. The fox will be after them. If you have wild boar the fence will not deter them.
Fantastic. A mobile electric fence will mean you've got free ground clearance wherever you want, great for starting veg beds etc, weeding an orchard.
And when the shed will be too small you will be able to use it as a sweat coffin!
I need a Badger in my life lol, my husband would never do anything like this I can't even get him to hang a two-sided hanging shelf 😂 he's a great man he's just a computer nerd indoors 😂 you guys do so much work and do it with such happiness, I could just see me and my husband out there especially in that heat lol. Fantastic job much love from Oklahoma USA Jackie 🇺🇸💖 PS can you believe I'm from the Midwest mostly down south and he's an indoor person lol
Scotters trotters have a heavenly home.🐖🐷🐖🐷❤️🇨🇦
Absolutely love your enthusiasm. Can hardly wait to see Scotters Trotters. 🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
Got just 1 thing to say..get Piggy Jiggy with it! 😅
Welcome to the Scotters family piglets🐽.... cute, smart, mischievous and a masters of escaping! 😅Never boring with them.
Cindy must have given you some useful tips to get you started. Congrats
You can make moveable fencing to rotate the piggies around the terraces. Take a look at Sow the Land where they have a nice setup. (Sorry, they eat their piggies, ignore that part).
Are you getting them from Cindy vine, just love her channel. Oh and so love yours as well Hello from Australia.
So much work for four piglets
Excited to see the babies, great prep, lucky piglets ❤

🐖🐖🐖🐖🐓🐔🐤🐥🐦🌱🌱🌱🌱⚘⚘⚘⚘
Nice video update. Can you update us on what happened to the chickens? . And an update on the Bees?. Lots to do so much for you having a rest before you restart the house. Well done turning into a right little homestead ❤❤😊😊
Thank you! We havnt got chickens yet but yes will update on the bees very soon!
☺️
OINK. OINK, OINK OINK! Fantastic news. The children will love them!
It’s incredible to see how resourceful you are and how you just turn these spaces into something wonderful!❤️🐖🐷❤
Goats are great to clean up the wild ..
but eat every thing...
I hope your pigs will be in a reinforced enclosure...
They can be devastating too... !!!
Where every things on their menu...
I've been "shivering...with....Antici-----------Pation" since I saw your cameo appearance on Cindy's channel
I can hardly wait for them to arrive!
So much done you all work so hard stay safe x
Olá família, uma dica, seria interessante desafiar a criatividade dos seguidores do canal para dar nomes aos porquinhos 😊😚🐷❤
So excited to meet your piggies
Just because you don't have much to do--pigs of course! Have fun!
Fabulous pig sty but I thought you were going to say you were expecting .⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👋👋❤️❤️
High class pig stye great job what a great place you picked for them
Ohoho... I'm living in East Siberia, where it's +40C in the summer. Tin cover will make real hell out of your piggy tunnel.
Holes in the fencing are too big. Piglets will go right through that.
Six star ✨✨✨✨✨✨ accommodation for the Kune Kune 's 😂😂
Badger your creativity is off the chain.
How wonderful, I look forward to seeing your piggies xxxx
From what I know about keeping pigs you might want to consider electrical fencing. Just saying. Good luck on your new adventure with livestock!
good luck your new ADVENTURE BEGINS....... this will be good ha ha
Love the idea of pigs, ❤
Also I want to say that was one of the best segways into the commercial that I have seen!
I think the pigs will escape. The fencing holes are way too big and you should have an electric fence. They will escape what you have right now
I saw you on another channel a few weeks ago getting them. As I follow that channel also. I never said anything as it is your story to tell.
Sooo extended for all the Scotter Trotter updates!! 🐖
I’m all excited for next week 😊. My niece has kunekune pigs too for the same reasons and loves them. But they raise them for meat 🤷🏻♀️. She has a huge homestead in northern British Columbia Canada
In you research on keeping kunekunes, have you come across TH-camrs Sow The Land? If you are going to be using yours to manage your terraces you might like to see their method of moving them about. Good luck and have fun with them.
We have 2 and it's a myth, they do root and boy do they make a mess!! 😂😂
I have seen people made pig food bins out of big logs too. You should look into that.
You also need a wallow for them so they can keep cool and protected from the bugs
Watch project Portugal with Nick, as he is always building pig fences and sty. 😊
❤❤❤
