- A very quick how-to video showing the procedure to reset the "oil change" indicator light on the display of a Yamaha NVX 155 (called Yamaha Aerox in other countries). This was done on my current generation (gen 2) 2021 Yamaha NVX155 scooter with the digital dashboard and smartkey ignition and remote keyfob.
As you'll see in the video the procedure is as follows:
1. Switch on the ignition.
2. Use the menu button to scroll to the oil tripmeter.
3. Press and hold the menu button until the mileage starts flashing.
4. Release the menu button.
5. Press and hold the menu button again until the mileage resets to zero.
The "oil change" indicator / light on the scooters dashboard will reset / clear and no longer be shown.

Thank you very much sir..very helpful
Crisp n informative…Thumbs Up
My light started blinking at an odd Ikm figure. Service was done less than 1000 kms ago. Does this mean they lied about the oil change?
More likely that they just forgot to reset the service indicator when they did the service. The same happened to me once and I'd seen them actually service it in front of me.
How funny, I had to look this up and find the answer from the same guy I bought this very bike from all them years ago lol. Thanks Rich 👍
Haha, no way! 😂

Thanks! This really helped me. I dont know what to do, it started last month. This is very helpful
Hopefully, you changed the oil (or someone else did) before resetting the light ;) The light comes on at 1,000km and then every 3,000km as a reminder to change the oil. Sometimes whoever last changed the oil forgets to reset the light though.
Thankyou.
your video really helping me today.. Tq so much from Malaysia
Glad it helped 👍
How much kilometer once the oil(Fully Synthetic) should be changed?
It should have its first service at 500-1000km or 2 months. Then every 2-3000km
Thank you so much 🥰🥰

Excellent. I fixed it within a minute with your help

So if it does not blink, there's no need to change the oil, right?
It comes on after the miles they recommend between oil changes so in theory you don't need to change it until the light comes on. Personally, I change oil in my bikes more frequently anyway as I figure that oil is cheaper than new engines so I'd rather be more cautious...
hehehe .,,.. how about , to program it...
All you can do is reset it once it comes on. The times it comes on are preset and from memory are at 1000km for the first service and then every 3000km after that.
Thank you
Thank you so much Sir, it's really effective
thank you! Indeed, very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!

Hi sir i am the new user of aerox i would like to say thank u for the idea showing in this vidio... i do it just now n its working.... n i would like to ask u if posible after how many km i wil have to change engine oil.... coz its ma first time using two wheelers....
After the first time at 1000km, from memory, the oil change light will come on and the scooter will need an oil change after 3000 kilometres
Thank u sir.. I have cross 1000 km is it important to change it now or wait up to 3000 km sir...
@@johnjohnmanners5876 yes, change now at 1000km and then when the light comes on again (at 3000km) change the oil again. Basically, whenever the light come son, change the oil and then reset the light.
Ok sir thank u ill do it by tomaro hav a qqq evning....
Thanks i successfully remove oil blinking

the signal has been flashing since the motorcycle was purchased and even after the oil change. How to adjust so that it does not flash
Follow the instructions in the video and it should switch it off. After my oil was changed the dealer forgot to reset the light so it came on which is led me to research how to reset the light and make this video.

Yup

Is this a dangerous sign?
It's a warning that the oil needs changing. This is done purely on mileage though since it was last reset.
Different dash than my Thai Aerox 155. No need to do this. Only one trip, as well!
What age is your Aerox? My previous 2018 NVX had a different dash to my new 2021 generation 2 NVX that also has quite a few other changes (some styling, rear suspension).
@@RichRides It is a 2019 model. I bought it new last year for a 2,000 baht discount.
Tq..verry helping me
No problem. I'm glad it was useful 👍
