I know that the first game was frustrating for roffle, but it reminded me of good old days of tradestone, where it was more rare to hit opponent in the face just because "3/3 to 2/3 trade is not even worth the face dmg". Good vid

I can understand how just vanilla fighting for board could get really boring, to me it seems like that's just always how standard is, so I can't really tell the difference between this and normal.
It’s not that fighting for the board is boring it’s that the design decision has been made to give every class access to cheap and powerful card draw, so every deck can play a much lower curve than they could in the past, making every game far more consistent… but at the same time also far more predictable and therefore boring.
Gold panner is the worst offender but they’ve just been printing so much cheap card draw the past couple of years. It’s an intentional design decision to greatly increase the consistency of your played experience, but it’s legitimately ruined the game, at least in my opinion.
