I am only just catching up on your latest stretch of the SWCP over several days, so what a treat I have tonight, starting with this superb video where every shot is like a prize winning photograph. Stupendous scenery, all seen at its best in such beautiful weather. As always, you've done it proud Paul.
Beautiful walk. And the weather really got better and better. You are soon finished with the whole path 😊 Must be a bit strange feeling 😊 I am looking forward to watching the walk through the undercliff 🙂
Yes the weather really did improve on this day and it remained that way for the remainder of this trip. Yes I am nearly at the finish now but I really don’t want this to end 😢
@@pilgrimpaul7798 Hi Paul! I’ve completed the vast majority of Cornwall and a section between Paignton and Torquay. I’m going to start the section on the North coast in the summer. I need to complete Minehead to Bude.
Hi Paul. Great to see another video. I knew you've been on the path again as I follow you on Instagram. Pleasant surprise to see the first day edited and posted so soon.
So you’ve seen snippets of what’s to come from the Instagram posts! I was eager to get a video out and for some reason this one didn’t seem to take long to edit.
Hi Paul. That looked a good walk. Bringing back memories again of family holidays on the south east coast in the 1980s. I was interested to see that you stayed at the same campsite we moved on to after meeting you on Day 2. You are doing so well to keep returning. We always enjoy your videos. Good luck with your next section. Bev and Adam W
Hi both, hope you’re well. That’s a strange coincidence about the camp site. I thought it was a good site. I’m so close to finishing now, but I don’t want it to be over.
I found some of that walk is pretty tough going, takes longer than you'd imagine from looking at the map. The river Otter is the only river with two heads... because like all it has a source but that point at it's mouth is called Otter Head too. Some great footage there Paul. I've never taken that ferry over the Exe, I guess I will do when I add that part to my SWCP walk.
@@pilgrimpaul7798 was hoping to complete it last week but the military range was closed and it’s closed when. I’m off in June. So will probably do Lyme Regis to Weymouth in June then finish it during the school hols. I’m glad you stayed at the holiday camp past west bay, as I was looking that one up but couldn’t find the cost online. Some near Portland were £39. Not paying that.
Hi Paul, another great video, this time along part of the South coastline I've visited many times since the mid 1960s, but this time I get to see the beautiful scenery between the resorts, thanks to you. I see Ten Tors was held last weekend, I did the 60 miler in 1964 and 1965, did you ever take part yourself? Looking forward to the next episode.
Wow 60 miles on the moor is impressive. No I didn’t ever do it. I was interested in other things when I was at school!! I wish now though that I had done it.
Hi paul, i am planning to do the swcp myself hopefully starting in the near future. Do you mind me asking what camera setup you use. I have a gopro but do you use a handle with gimbal etc.
Hi Matt. I use a GoPro on a mini handheld tripod. My GoPro has a horizon levelling setting and good image stabilisation which does a pretty good job without the need for a gimbal.
Great to see you back. Excellent and very informative video.
Thanks Ross 👍
another gem ... many thanks.
Thank you 🙏
The weather looked amazing! It’s really great seeing you back on the path Paul! 👍👍
Yes it did come out nice after a grey start. I had ☀️ for the entire 4 days which made for hot walking but more enjoyable views.

Awesome paul, loved it again , think you should have had that second pint especially when its free 😂 looking forward to the rest 👍
Thanks Neil. I was very tempted to have another drink, it was very pleasant sitting in the sunshine at Sidmouth with a cider.
Really enjoyed the video! Loving all the hints and tips along the way, it's good to know what to expect 😊
How much of the path have you done Sandra, or have you not started yet?

@@sandracox7881some tough but good sections in North Devon. If you’ve already done Cornwall you will be fine with it.
Another great one Paul - ta very much! The undercliffs do seem to be a Marmite section, for me fantastic though. I look forward to your take on it.
Spoiler alert - I also liked the Undercliffs, but I was tired by the time I got to that stretch.

I found East Devon in general to be quite a tough section, but also very enjoyable. The ferry is cash only and I think is £8 for a single.
@@pilgrimpaul7798 Ah, I best remember that, I doubt there are many cash points dotted around there!
@@jonstfrancisI just checked and a return is £8, single is £6.
I’m a bit late catching up here Paul. Good to see you back out with the big pack again mate.
Yes it has been 7 months since I’ve had to carry that. Was good to have a few days on the path. You got any plans to return?
