+Glen Wu Noah's face made me sad, but Luke's face killed me! At that moment, seeing Noah's disappointment, Luke knew how much he'd disappointed Noah...and Luke's felt terrible about himself.
No Luke! Don't be an idiot. I don't know why people are saying Luke didn't "stay true to his character". Nobody is just one kind of anything. EVERYONE does stupid and bad things under stress and when they're emotional - even the most charitable people.
Noah is so wonderfully right here. Being proud of oneself has nothing to do with being "winning" all the time, but doing the right thing. In the end, it doesn't matter so much whether they win that election, but that they succeeded in getting across a positive, progressive message to so many people. *Kiss to Noah* *Kiss to both of them*
Van is AMAZING...all the emotions in this episode! And when he talked about all the old stuff with Kevin...and coming out...all the feelings which resurfaced for him, SO believable...
I love how Noah/Jake says, "Well I am proud of us!" Noah has come such a long way from when he and Luke first got together. I also love how important this is to Casey for Luke to prosper, I just wish that he and Luke hadn't cheated.
LUKE IS SO LUCKY TO HAVE NOAH!! and i feel horrible for luke, i know what it's like to not be able to forget how someone ridiculed you. i was made fun of a lot in elementary school, and it still hurts. granted, now i'm just starting high school, but still. you just can't forget.
Noah is so amazing in this arc! And I am not-so-secretly happy that it's Luke's turn to be the one messing up! Since the writers usually have Noah be the person who disappoints or hurts Luke in some way. I know soaps are all about the unrealistic drama, but I have to say I enjoy this kind of normal conflict a LOT more than all the usual soapy tropes (blinded, kidnapped, fake marriages, car accidents, getting shot, amnesia so on so forth). God, I wish I didn't already know what's waiting up ahead, nearer to the end of the show...
The last 9 months of ATWT is an unrelenting slog. Not just the L&N stuff, even though THAT is the worst. They set things right, but by then, the show is almost done.
AAAHH!!!! LUUUKE!!!! I so wanted to cry!!! Also, the last like 10 seconds of the vid PROVE how good of actors Van and Jake are. When Luke sees Noah through the window, you can just see the conversation going on without a single line. Noah: I can't believe you really did it. Luke: ....I had to. Noah:.....*walks away* SOOO SAAAAAD!!!! I really want to see the inevitable convo between Kevin and Luke. That will be GOOD!!! Luke will have to confess. He'll feel way too guilty about it.
I love Noah throughout this Luke-cheating-thing. You gotta love Noah for believing in him and in them. The scenes between them are so great. Van's brill in this part!
OK...patience sufficeted just what.... a minute😱😭😭😭 God. I understand Luke! I do! He is so hurt! What Kevin did, had a big impact on Luke's entire life. On his self-esteem, on his self image. We all can see his self-doubt taking him over sometime and let him freak out. That is not all because of Kevin, but it is because of Kevin too! But MAN! Luke is so special because of his morality, because of his strength to do the right thing even when it hurts! When he looses his innocence on that, he is going to fell deep down! Deep deep down. Cause what will he have left to build his self esteem on? He will not be able to watch into the mirror anymore..... I see it coming.... I fear it coming.... more suffer... but not that kind of suffer I like....
Thanks again Andy for allowing me to keep up with this story. Before Nuke, I never liked Soaps and I used to be annoyed by some of the crazy storylines they put these characters through. However, now I find them humorous and I think it's amazing how much the acting/writing draws us in and how invested we are as fans. I didn't want Van to cheat, but I think it shows how he's a fully developed character that's essential to the show. They definitely deserve more airtime, but their story's matured.
Luke sounds like:I am a person with a heart and feelings and even though I don't fear homophobia,I am just tired of being pushed and pointed out.He is right and very strong at realizing what is even more important than that:Be a fat fucking success.
I like how they included music on this episode...much like they do on Verbotene Liebe :3 It just gives it a modern feel...something we would see on shows that are not necessarily soaps :)
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG WOWOWOWOWOWWOWOW!!!!! My lord I am just on the edge of my seat!!! GAWD this is a great story! MAN OH MAN!!! I am seriously freaking out here, when Kevin saw the screen and the music went on like that...I was so happy! But then of coarse it just spiraled when Luke found out and Ali said the "Fair and square" thing and then Noah.... man. INCREDIBLE! Sorry I sound so dumb right now but that was one of the best Nuke eps EVER.
Luke just keeps changing the reason why he entered the rally. First the gay film festival, then Noah, then against discrimination in OU, then all gays in general, then Allison, then because he is a better option than kevin, then blah blah blah. It´s so hard to say payback??
"You can't stop people from being small minded...all you can do is control yourself and do the right thing." This quote from Noah really resonated with me. It was so great last night to see the campaign of hope defeat the campaign of fear. I'm not saying voting for Obama was "the right thing." I'm just saying that certain small minded people never changed Obama or the integrity of his campaign. I loved Noah telling Luke he's proud of them. Random: I've really grown to like Allison.
I am so glad I was able to see this so soon!! I was in school all day so I missed it but just before class I got to see this so it's cool. Man, the expressions and the tension, everything got me glued to the monitor. I'm really hoping that Casey did the right thing and didn't do it. Well, now, I guess I'll get ready for my Japanese class.
You know, the argument at Al's isn't the type that would make it into most people's "favorite Luke/Noah scenes" list, but it's in mine (that list sure is long, though). The acting and writing in this scene is just stellar; both POV's really came through. Kudos to Van and Jake and, for once, the writers. Noah really broke my heart when he said, "Well, I *am* proud of us!". And of course, when he saw Luke at the end and realized his speech was no use.
1Hugi1, yes, Luke okayed the cheating. Wow, this storyline has me on the edge of my seat. It's a thousand times better than the Ameera disaster. Luke is severely going off the path, and I completely see why. Great acting by Van, and great script, in the scene where he tells Noah he feels like Kevin makes a joke out of him. Luke was so angry and hurt!
p.s. The last scene: Van and Jake was Awesome. Luke feels so bad and Noah is so dissapointed in him. But it's the way the don't have to say anything, but just look and they understand what each other is saying and feeling. I love it, (I love them) BRILLANT!
People are always yelling in the diner they're always eating in lol, like do you think the owners are concerned abt how many arguments take place in their restaurant.
It's THAT easy to ..conjure Equality out of nowhere. I think he is trying to put his gay pride all over the campus. I love gay people. it's okay to be different. But not cool if you try to put it on like a name tag, like everyone owes you. You don't need an election to make yourself Stand Up.
I hate how Luke cheated to win. Because rigging the ballet is more worse than how it happened. Because I agree with Noah that this isn't right at all. So Kevin wins now that's really great.
+I'mACrazyFreak4Life Noah was right that cheating was wrong, and Luke shouldn't have stooped to their opponents' level...but I still think that Mark's actions were worse, and I can understand why Luke felt angry enough to cheat.
1:50 'Don't let that change what I love about you!' 5:02 'Let me do it' 'Are you sure?' 'Yea, what are they gunna do? Suspend me?' Although stuffing the ballet boxes is wrong, I REALLY don't want Kev to win, and again.. I gott say this, Casey is like the best friend EVER!!
You are 100 times better person than he is. Aww how sweet, Luke is a very nice guy, the scene was soo emotional, and VAN acting and expressions was soo amazing that i cried.
Very nice tension in the ending scene. A heartbreak moment. I am hoping the twist is that Casey will reveal that he messed up and didn't stuff the ballot.
AHHHHH!!!! Okay, waaay too many emotions. First off, GO NOAH! Second, WTF LUKE!?!?!? That ending look...heartrenching! Someone please tell me that Casey didn't really do it...That he threw them away for Alison. Make everything better please! =(=(=( Oh but I love that Nuke has couple drama and other drama now!! AHHH! They need to be on again ASAP! That look spared no mercy whatsoEVER! I love them! Superb acting guys!!!
I buy that it was a moment of weakness for Luke for him to okay the plan. Also, I buy that Casey tossed the ballots and Luke honestly won. I would even buy Luke stepping down from the position he's honestly earned because he still feels he got it dishonestly. What I don't buy is that there won't be victory sex!
Poor Luke... all those old feelings come rushing back and he really doesn't know how to deal with it. Obviously trying to explain them to Noah is going to be harder. =( When Van looked like he was going to cry I wanted to climb into the TV and give him hugs! Anyone else get that feeling?
Luke is usually the one who i side with and look up to, but not this time. Noah is completely right. Cheating is not the way you should win something. Luke is the one who has made Noah who he is today and he respects Luke so much. And Luke sinking this low is just... Yes, i know that those guys laughing and joking about Luke is horrible and they're bastards. But he should NOT sink to there level. And Luke didn't even seem happy when he won, he's wracked with guilt. It just proves Noah's point!
In future episodes about Noah. Noah is right he's telling Luke not to do it he's against it because it's wrong. The disappointment in Noah's face is so sad 😭
"What are they gonna do suspend me?" haha that's why I love Casey. but still, we don't know for sure that he stuffed the ballots, I guess we'll find out next week.
Actually, I came a little late to the party so I didn't see any of the Ameera discussions (though I had no shortage of frustration with Noah while watching those episodes), but I do think that Noah was genuinely motivated by the belief that he was saving a life by marrying Ameera. I don't think he handled it particularly well and I think Luke deserved a lot more credit for supporting Noah's decision. Now, to me, Luke seems motivated by both justice and revenge; the wrong one won out.
Wow. Van and Jake were brilliant today. I believe the cheating did take place. I know Van said in an interview that things backfire on Luke horribly. Sigh. Things aren't going to be great for a while between our boys. It's a soap, so sometimes people (Luke!) do uncharacteristic things for story purposes. So sad. Hopefully the problems won't last for long and Luke and Noah will come out of this stronger than ever. I just can't stand it when they aren't happy!!
It never stops, because change and rather for the worse than for the better.I was born and many of us were born to accept others for who they are and weak people let themselves brainwashed about what is "normal".
omg please someone tell me that the boys are on again this week as i cant wait until next week to see if luke really cheated or if him and noah have broke up!! please tell me there on again this week!!
The tariff bill? The Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act? Which, anyone? Raised or lowered? ..Raised taxes.. Sorry. Ferris Bueller. Favorite movie.:D Anyway, I'm gonna say, with the way they progess.. mm.. slim to none. Maybe we'll get some hot hand-under-the-sweater action by December, though.>:)

Hi! And no, I don't. I'm expecting him to kidnap Luke any day now (and hopefully when we least expect it) because that could really up the sympathy factor and (fingers crossed) help us forget how un-Luke-like he's been lately. Can you believe how willing everyone was to just accept that he was dead? He trained special ops but can't manage a swim to shore? And wouldn't allowing his dog tags to be found be the perfect way to throw people off? Maybe there's a city wide gas leak in Oakdale.
am i the only one who thinks the writers are not keeping luke's character with a consistency? one moment he is all angelic and lovey dovey and soooooo adorable (which should stay that way!) and now he is....CHEATING?? and noah!!!! i can never recover if my significant other had looked at me like he did in the very end! i swear. so heartbreaking and there's nothing that i can do to fix it! bottomline is...dont lose noah, luke!
I'm so mad at Luke right now for cheating. I thought he wouldnt have stooped to their level, but he did. And the look on Noah's face when Luke was looking at him just made me sad T.T
Luke is absolutely right on the issues and about Kevin, but he should have listened to his wonderful and loving boyfriend, Noah.
Noah's face at the end killed me, how could Luke stoop to that level, I've never been more disappointed in him... :(
+Glen Wu
Noah's face made me sad, but Luke's face killed me! At that moment, seeing Noah's disappointment, Luke knew how much he'd disappointed Noah...and Luke's felt terrible about himself.

@@suecollins9618, Jake was good, but Van is simply at another level. You can see right into his heart.
AWWW He starts shaking up and down when he's about to cry. Goddammit Luke stop making me want to hug you.
I love how Luke is trying to go threw anything just to win Luke better win and get his revenge
Poor Noah. I still love you!! Ill listen to you any day!!!

wht was the song playing in the bck round at the end?
They are so sweet ..
Awh I love that song, "What I've Done."
Thanks for saying this.
I might have missed a couple of episodes: is there anybody who can tell me what happened to the man who had to manage Luke's foundation? Thanks!!!

Loved how Noah stood up to Luke. And poor Luke, doesn't feel so good to win by cheating does it? Ah, daytime drama!
I've never heard anyone say "feelings" as much as Luke :P

what luke and brian situation?? omg please tell me i need to know!!
damn noah TELL EM
Luke n Noah have come a long way from workin at WOAK and Jade sayin it was cute that they both have biblical namees. Lolll
ugh luke is so self-righteous
In future episodes about Noah. Noah is right he's telling Luke not to do it he's against it because it's wrong. The disappointment in Noah's face is so sad 😭
If I were Noah... oh la la... This conversation would be a deal breaker for me.
I like how the keep playing Linkin Park's "What I've Done" in the background. Very metaphoric.
where's this show recorded anyways??
Luke's looking fit today. :)
What song is that? It starts at 5:37
"What are they gonna do suspend me?"
haha that's why I love Casey.
but still, we don't know for sure that he stuffed the ballots, I guess we'll find out next week.
did he casted the votes? or does he still have them?

@nightworldvampir888 It's Linkin Park - What I've done
wait r they brokin up?
The tariff bill? The Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act? Which, anyone? Raised or lowered? ..Raised taxes..
Sorry. Ferris Bueller. Favorite movie.:D
Anyway,
I'm gonna say, with the way they progess.. mm.. slim to none.
Maybe we'll get some hot hand-under-the-sweater action by December, though.>:)
Yeeaaah "What I've done" LINKIN PARK!
Great!!
I hope that the writers won't separate them...
lol hes so cute
i love this story
I almost cryed when they got emotional when they where fightin at the resturant
Looks like Luke needs to deal with his past if he wants to keep Noah in his life.
Which, actually, is only fair, as Noah had to do the same countless times in the past.
Let's hope Luke deals with it. I'm sure then Noah will understand and accept what happened.
GAH! The whole time I was practically yelling for him not to do it at the computer screen... they didn't listen to me...
Does any1 know n they r on again ?, i live in the u.k so i dnt really know ! thank-u x
does anyone know if they were on today?
