YES ARMENIA🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲. You did well to mention Hayk, the Father of the Armenian nation who fought Bel, the builder of the Babylonian tower, to liberate the Armenian people from the enslavement, but that did not happen in 2107 B.C (which source tells you that?); according to the Armenian historian Movses Khorenatsi it happened in 2492 B.C. Also the first Armenian kingdoms did not start at 331 B.C. The Kingdom of Ararat, or better known by the Assyrian sources as the Kingdom of Urartu, was truly the first unified and centralized Armenian Kingdom established at around 880 B.C. And before that there were the Armenian tribes and small kingdoms: Hayassa-Azzi, Arme-Shupria and Nayiri.

Regarding Armenia, besides the Orontid, Artaxiad and Arsacid, you should also add the dynasty of the Bagratid from 885 AD to 1045 AD. Although in a slightly different geographical area to the west, you can also add the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia from 1080-1375 with the Rubenids, Hethumids and the Lusignans. Specially regarding the Bagratids, they are in the similar area of greater Armenia.

In a matter of fact, the first time Bulgaria is mentioned in written document as a organized state on a territory, corresponding to its present days borders, is during the Third Council of Constantinople, during which, among other subjects, a question arises about the war with Bulgaria, 680-681. Although there has been certain periods in history through which Bulgaria ceased to exist as a independent state, the unique culture, language and the common sense of nationality have survived and have helped several time for the restoration of Bulgaria, to be precise, during the times of the Second Empire (1185-1396/1422) and the Third Bulgarian state (1878 onwards). So, in short, pretty much like Armenia, with which we share some sort of mutual fate of fading throughout the ages, Bulgaria deserves to be on that list of the oldest still existing countries in history, too. Actually, mayby second in Europe's history, after San Marino, of course.

The Bulgars (also Bulghars, Bulgari, Bolgars, Bolghars, Bolgari,[1] Proto-Bulgarians[2]) were Turkic semi-nomadic warrior tribes that flourished in the Pontic-Caspian steppe and the Volga region during the 7th century. Emerging as nomadic equestrians in the Volga-Ural region, according to some researchers their roots can be traced to Central Asia.[3] During their westward migration across the Eurasian steppe the Bulgars absorbed other ethnic groups and cultural influences, including Hunnic and Indo-European peoples.[4][5][6][7][8][9] Modern genetic research on Central Asian Turkic people and ethnic groups related to the Bulgars points to an affiliation with Western Eurasian populations.[9][10][11] The Bulgars spoke a Turkic language, i.e. Bulgar language of Oghuric branch.[12] They preserved the military titles, organization and customs of Eurasian steppes,[13] as well as pagan shamanism and belief in the sky deity Tangra.[14]
The Bulgars became semi-sedentary during the 7th century in the Pontic-Caspian steppe, establishing the polity of Old Great Bulgaria c. 635, which was absorbed by the Khazar Empire in 668 AD.
In c. 679, Khan Asparukh conquered Scythia Minor, opening access to Moesia, and established the First Bulgarian Empire, where the Bulgars became a political and military elite. They merged subsequently with established Byzantine populations,[15][16] as well as with previously settled Slavic tribes, and were eventually Slavicized, thus forming the ancestors of modern Bulgarians.[17]
The remaining Pontic Bulgars migrated in the 7th century to the Volga River, where they founded the Volga Bulgaria; they preserved their identity well into the 13th century.[12] The Volga Tatars and Chuvash people claim to be originated from the Volga Bulgars.

Doesn't seem a really good thing to be so car dependant, because it makes kids dependant on their parents to drive them places. I'm glad me and my sister were able to walk/bicycle to school on our own when we were 8, because the roads are much saver for pedestrians and cyclists. (Just my opinion though)

Bharat also has world's second oldest language 'Tamil'. Also, 5000 yrs ago BHARAT (India) has done biggest, most powerful war ever done on planet 'The Mahabharat in Kurukshetra'. There is no comparison to Mahabharat. Ayodhya, Hastinapur, Dwarka were the oldest capitals of Bharat, and first capitals on planet. Akhand Bharat is the world's oldest and the biggest empire and Bharat is the world's oldest and first democracy. 'Bhagavad Gita' is the official oldest democratic constitution of world from the start of the modern world (Kaliyug). All these happened way before Islam, Christianity and Buddhism originated.

The beginning of Iran is usually attributed to Cyrus the great. But, his father was the king of Anshan and his mother was the daughter of the last Median king. Then, he became the king to both kingdoms. So, the area already consisted of two kingdoms and Cyrus was the one who united these kingdoms (and, ofcourse added more territory). If you bring in the history of these two kingdoms, the beginning of Iran goes back to 11th century BC.

    • @garymaidman625
      @garymaidman625 2 ปีที่แล้ว

The beginning of Iran as a country is when it became known as Iran. When it was the Persian Empire, it was different than Iran. When it was the Safavid Empire, it was different than Iran. Geographically it may have been the same, but politically it was different the definition of a country is political, not geographical.

@@garymaidman625 As an Iranian, I can assure you that Persian Empire was what others used to call Iran. We have been referring to our country as "Iran". In fact, the first scripts with the name of Iran date back to 1000 BC.

    • @garymaidman625
      @garymaidman625 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@donyab.e4767 as a historian with a focus on Ancient history, I have read enough primary sources to assure you that it was the geographic region was known under different names. Whether it was the Elamite kingdoms, the Archaemenid Persian Empire, the Parthian Empire, the Sassanid Empire, the Safavid Empire, the geographic region was known under different names. The Iranian people were an ethnic group. There is a difference between an ethnic group and a country. It hasn't been called Iran during all the time, therefore Iran as a country under the name Iran is relatively young. What you are getting at is your people have referred to themselves as Iranian, which is an ethnic group, but the political entity was not known as Iran and there are ancient texts aka primary sources, written by scholars, including Persian scholars that proves that it wasn't always called Iran by Iranians. Btw, that Archaemenid Persian Empire I mentioned, that was Cyrus the Great.

I think you have seriously confused the name of dynasties and probably smaller ethnic groups with the name of my country as a whole.
I can't believe that you named the Safavid dynasty among others to prove your point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was only 500 years ago!!!!
And, being an Iranian I have tens of verses of 1000-year-old+ poetry in my memory that refer to Iran as Iran! Poems that are narrating the stories of ancestors who lived millenniums before them! And, the reason I don't have older verses in my memory? Because all of our books were kindly dumped into rivers by the Arab invaders. However, books such as Shahnameh despite being written after the invasion were narrators of the Iranian people's mutual memory. If Iran ever had another name, it would have been preserved in that mutual memory and would have been narrated by our poets and historians.
Furthermore, we still have some older (but set-in-stone) evidence left. The first mention of Iran (with an older pronunciation of course) is in Avesta (holy book of Zoroastrians) which definitely predates Cyrus the great between 1 to 3 millennia according to different sources and scholars. The second oldest evidence appears in Bisotoon stone carvings which were written during the Achaemenid dynasty's rule in which Ahuramazda is referred to as the God of the Iranians!
The third oldest mention is also carved on the stones in the investiture of Ardashir I where the king calls himself "Ardashir, king of kings of the Iranians". This is only in addition to the military rank names that had Iran's name in them.

Interesting video, although I want to point out a few issues I saw with the Armenia portion. Armenia’s statehood can be traced to the Hurrian state of Mitanni (~1500-1200 BC). Following its collapse as a result of the joint Hittite and Assyrian invasions the local chieftains (or princes) came together to form the Nairi Confederation (~1200-900 BC).
Eventually one of the princes of the Nairi states, Arame I of Biani (or Van in modern-day southeastern Turkey) decided to unify the states under his control in 858 BC. The Assyrians called his state Urartu, the Bible refers to it as Ararat. One of the most famous Kings of the Urartian Dynasty, Argishti I built the Fortress of Erebuni (modern-day Yerevan, the capital of Armenia since 1918) in 782 BC. Eventually the Kingdom of Urartu fell in 585 BC to invading Iranian tribes, the Scythian from the north, but more importantly the Medes from the south.
Around 570 BC Yervand I or Orontes I established the Yervanduni/Orontid Dynasty that ruled over Armenia as Satraps or Kings, under Achaemenid suzerainty. With the collapse of the Achaemenid Persian Empire in 331 BC to the forces of Alexander the Great, Armenia was temporarily occupied by Alexandrian forces in 331-321 BC, but in 321 the state regained its autonomy. The Yervadunis would continue to rule until 200 BC when Armenia plunged into a civil war as the Seleucids triggered a relative of the King, a general named Artashes/Artaxias to launch a rebellion.
By 190 BC the Artashesian/Artaxiad Dynasty was established over Armenia and ruled until 12 CE. The most famous Armenian king, Tigran II or Tigran the Great ruled from 95-55 BC. Tigran II created a short-lived empire in 88-66 BC, that for a time became the strongest state east of Rome. From 12-53 CE Armenia was basically fought over by the Romans and Parthians.
From 53-428 CE the country came under the rule of the Arshakuni or Arsacid Dynasty which was related to the ruling dynasty of Parthia in modern-day Iran. Under the Arshakunis the Armenian state converted to Christianity in 314, making it the first in the world and in 405 a unique alphabet was created that is still used by Armenians to this day.
From 428-645 Armenia was a Marz or Province of Sassanid Persia. Most times the Marzban or Governor was an ethnic Armenian, unless it was during a rebellion when an ethnic Persian governor was put into power.
From 645-885 Armenia became an autonomous Emirate in the Islamic Caliphate. While a Muslim Arab Emir ruled over Armenia, a local prince was elected from the powerful noble families and declared Prince of Princes (Ishkhanats Ishkhan) and he was the de facto ruler of the country, while the Emir was simply the Caliph’s ambassador in Armenia.
From 885-1065 the Bagratunis/Bagratids, who had long been the Prince of Princes came to be crowned the Kings of Armenia. While their original capital city of Ani fell to the Byzantines in 1045, the outpost capital at Kars held out until 1065, when it fell to the invading Seljuk Turks.
In 1080, a noblemen who fled from Armenia Major/Greater Armenia to Cilicia established a principality in the mountains. It’s said that this prince, Ruben, was a relative of the last Bagratuni King. Ruben’s descendants formed the Rubinian/Rubenid dynasty that ruled over Cilicia as princes until 1198 when they became Kings, taking on the title of King of Armenia. In 1252 the Hethumian/Hethumids came to control the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia until the Lusinian/Lusignan family of mixed Armenian-French origin came to power in 1342. The last Armenian King, Levon VI surrendered in 1375 to the Mamluks of Egypt.
Armenia would later be reborn as an independent country nearly six centuries later in 1918 after World War One and the Armenian Genocide. It would become the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1920-1991. Since 1991 the Republic if Armenia has been able to secure its spot in global society. I thought it would be important to mention the times before 331 BC and after 428 CE when Armenia was still a state.

Reffering to you than it would make more sense to include France, Germany or England into this topic because they all have been formed before Bulgaria....or even Croatia & Serbia because they all got mentioned already in the early 7th Century by the Byzantine Empire or Frankish Empire as self-ruling tribes that exist till today. If you consider the language & culture in Bulgaria than 683 is not true. The original Bulgarian royals were turkic, speaking a turkic language. Throughout the 200 years after the Arrival of the Bulgarians they became fully absorbed by Slavs by the 800´s, adopting their Language & Culture.

As for the founding of Bulgaria in the 7th century, the states I mentioned earlier were all founded before or at the same time. This refutes your claim.

And swedish people brought their style of rule and democracy to eastern slavs and western slavs and some southern but they where most with greeks/Byzantine and roman empire. And if you talk about hindi people and that greeks learned from them, they might only have took some parts just like they took some things from arabs and all of that. Do not wary I know how to do an historical research: in Germany when you go to the uni the very first thing you learn is that there are many many different sources and you should always look at them with a critical eye! Schoolbooks paint an image that seems definite but it is not! So probably instead of writing constantly “corrections” on me trying to explain why a country may not habe been included in a map collection you should correct the maps that had mistakes in them (and believe me this: I have seen maps from the Antiquities with mistakes!)! Only two dates can be used to mark the birth of France :
      - 496, baptism of Clovis, first King of the Franks and founder of the monarchy of France. All kings of France are his succesors, that's why they were crowned in Reims and called for a long time "kings of the Franks". Also founded the Kingdom of the Franks who was the embryo from which France evolved.
      - 843, treaty of Verdun. The western part formed a distinct state who evolved continously to be today's France.
987 is nothing more but a change of ruling dynasty. The state remained the state, as well as the borders. Many countries experiences a change of dynasty, it does mean a foundation
