High cupboards are tricky. We use our mobile to take a video with the light on to double check. Works well!

What a great review, many thanks! Smile house is on our shortlist for a December holiday but we haven’t stayed there since 2012 so was really grateful for this recent review of the rooms.
Looking at their website it looks like the rooms with the spa bath might be the most recently refurbished?

I emailed Smile House and they told me that the Grand deluxe villas are the most recently refurbished, not sure how long ago though.

We have never travelled to Asia and we’d be interested in any thoughts you have on street food: what to look out for and what to be careful about.
Depends on your taste, best tip is where do the locals go and which has a queue!

So many fab Air bnbs that look more updated than that hotel. What made you choose it?
Perfect location plus there was eight of us, not seem many air bnbs with 2 swimming pools either!

What suitcases do you guys use/like?
We don’t really have a preference, what we like colour wise and the right size.
Did you fly in from Bangkok or straight to the local airport?
There are no direct flights to Koh Samui as the airport is to small for bigger planes to land!
What a lovely place. I actually prefer the cheaper room.
Yes it’s only the location that lets it down, but only a 5 minute walk so nothing worth worrying about.
That’s a good compromise, also, often , being at the back of the resort may make it a little quieter, for those that prefer to be set back away from the action. . . In this case I think it looked like the resort it may be a little more “tranquil” than some?
Get a taxi driver and keep him 😂 thoughts for life!

Any critters in the rooms? Don't like bugs, spiders, lizards and the like in rooms.......
We we’re pretty much critter free, you do get the odd little lizard but nothing scary.
