    If anyones wondering if you should buy this the short answer is No.
    The long one is hell no unless you want to go through AAA batteries like cigarettes, have completely off readings and no control of the device beyong the minimal app limitations.
    Any other device is better than this one

      After using this for a few months now, yes these go through batteries faster than my other sensors.

    Nice video and quite complete approach. But I lost you beginning with the minute 5 :). How did you reached that interface on the PC?

    hey, I have the same WSD500A sensor connected to zigbee2mqtt. sometimes it does not send data for hours even the temperature is changing more then 0.6C. did you experience something like this or it work properly for you?

      To be honest I am not keeping a very close eye on this sensor. It is in my cellar where temperature changes are very minimal. Although I also notice bigger jumps in temperature, and would have expected a few more readings in between.

    Hi, i want to ask for how long it takes records ( history of temperature and humidity) ....... I read somewhere only take records for 7 days, on other site i read that it takes records for 2 years, and you can see temperature in the last 2 years ( month to month, day to day)

      those devices are useless for monitoring. The historic graph generally only logs every hour . In the inbetween time, the temperature may be fluctuating wildly and you would never get the true variation even though you set an alarm point. usually 7 days limit unless you pay more to Tuya.

    Can we change the time to check temp from 30 min to 15 min?

      No it is not possible.

    Must I have a “sensor gateway” to reach the sensors themselves?

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the sensors communicate with the gateway, they do not work on Wifi. So you need a gateway.

    Does it works with the Hue Bridge?

      I would say that it is likely that it works, but I could not test it.

    Hello. I have bought only the temperature and humidity sensor. Can I somehow make it work on my mobile directly (without having "your zigbee hub")?
    Thanks in advance

    • @csongorvarga

      No, your phone does not communicate over zigbee, you need a gateway.

      Must be, homeassistant is using zigbee2mqtt as well as far as I know.

    I have always enjoyed your videos. But I do have to say that a lot of the products you use are from China.
    Considering what is happening in Europe, I believe you need to rethink the use of Chinese products.
    As with the oil & gas deal that China made not to long ago with Russia, the war in Europe is indirectly financed by China.

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, I guess there will be a time. Pretty much everything comes from china, where do you draw the line? Components, assembly, manufacturing? I have a few more which is already in the post, will see what happens after.

      Just like that, China indirectly says that they will buy the intellectual propeties. So what we, the west, all have worked on, designed and created, will now be misused and exploit by them.
