There's other thing about Dimash pronuciation he uses a lot of operatic vowels that modify the way he speak the words on french. I barely can understand people singing opera in my original language (portuguese) because the way they're using the vowels totally modify the words.

Dimash was the first performer I the first round with this song. But because he brought this song to such an elevated level the other performers decided he had won without any other performer going on stage yet. Additionally in every other round following they went all out just to keep up. I've seen the whole 2017 series and Sandy Lam should not have won. Her last few performances were pretty weak compared to the other singers but she got 1st in all of the last three rounds and narrowly beat Dimash. Dimash was the first performer I the first round with this song. But because he brought this song to such an elevated level the other performers decided he had won without any other performer going on stage yet. Additionally in every other round following they went all out just to keep up.
I've seen the whole 2017 series and Sandy Lam should not have won. Her last few performances were pretty weak compared to the other singers but she got 1st in all of the last three rounds and narrowly beat Dimash.
If you want to hear some of his best story telling check out Autumn Strong, Daybreak (both versions are good but he wasn't feeling well when he performed it during The Singer so check out the Bastau version) and Love of Tired Swans. He is a Maestro.

BTW, Dimash fixed his pronounciation of vis and ris on his performances following this one. If you watch his SOS Slavic Bazaar performance, they are correct! And yes, one of the best vocalists I have ever seen, on par with Celine Dion and Josh Groban and whomever else you would like to name....

And he always slays. You still do not know him. He performs Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury and many other contemporary performers, but he does it in a unique Dimash's way.
