@@AdrianMcDaidwhere I live charging overnight wouldn't be possible, there isn't an outlet by my parking spot assigned by the apartment complex so I'd be paying whatever the rate is at the dealer up the street and driving 20 minutes out of my way twice a week to charge... Also I only sprnd like $50 a month on gas since I drive a Ford fiesta so I really doubt that I would get that much savings after I consider the time I'd have to spend just sitting in a dealers parking lot waiting for the thing to charge

Boy math win: around 15 years ago, I purchased a pair of Wahl clippers so I could affordably cut my hair every 2 weeks. I had lost the battle of the receding hairline and just wanted to keep my hair really short. My wife complained about them being over $100. I explained the cost of each haircut was $15 at the barber (yes, that was cheap), which was $30 a month. “These clippers will pay for themselves in 3 months plus the convenience of cutting my hair when I want”, was my response. I still use those same clippers. As I reminded her the other day I have saved- on a conservative estimate- over $5,000 by cutting my own hair. She stopped complaining about me purchasing tools and other equipment because she knows I am frugal.

As a private wealth planning attorney, I think if wealth is your life goal then 45K with no assets is one of the best times to get a prenup. Get it early then amend and restate it every few years as you get wealthier; the first time she balks at it, you'll know you need to do some thinking.
Even better, consider putting a little every year in an irrevocable, discretionary legacy trust for your kids. Set it up so you can borrow that money if you ever need to, and select the right trustees. Then have the trustees open an investment account and put the annual gifts in an index fund.
Forethought is never a bad thing. Don't wait until you need shit done to do shit - do shit before it needs to be done, and then it'll be done when you need it. Good rule for adult males in general.

My math is as follows: *thing costs $50.99* I look at the price tag and completely don't see the $.99 and tell my wife "Hey, the thing is $50." After decades I still don't know why I do this hah

Fun fact: it’s called “smart pricing”. Usually it’ll be something like $49.99 because people convert that to “forty-something dollars”. 😀

A pre-nup should be seriously considered if either of you have massive debt, or significant assets. Why? Because it honestly takes the money out of the relationship.

many people man or women need prenups just bc your making 45k today doesn't mean you won't be making 100k or a million in the future and will save people from a savage divorce which is common when people are married for 10 plus years and decide to break up

I’m generally pretty frugal but years ago I splurged on a beautiful wicker laundry basket for $40 that made me think of old world craftsmanship and romanticized a different time. (yes I KNOW that’s silly 🙄) CRAZY amount for a laundry basket back then (even today) and I was just starting out and definitely scrabbling paycheck to paycheck back then. But 35+ years later I still use it, it’s held up remarkably well (except for where a cat I was fostering gnawed on one spot 😁) but what’s made it worth it is it’s brought a tiny bit of happiness to a weekly task that is otherwise drudgery and a chore. I still love my overpriced laundry basket!

So, I'm bald with a beard. It's because i shave my head, but can't be bothered shaving my face as well. It's not to make up for going bald. I'm just lazy.
Secondly, a prenup is so that you both can decide what you do with your shit if you break up, not the government. Without a prenup, the government (in the form of a judge) determines what happens with your stuff. A prenup is an agreement between you both without the input of government.

The purse purchase seems fine. I decide a lot of my purchases based on $/hour usage. Anything less than an hour per dollar seems like a good deal to me as I’m getting a lot if use for my money. I spent $400 on a chainsaw that I’ve only been able to use for 6 hours so far. Need to get the numbers up.

Great video, but I have question, I have a van that I use mainly for income while my wife and I are working through baby step 1 and 2. I've noticed that it is having mechanical issues, mainly stalling out when in reverse. Some of the areas I do uber and deliveries in are eh dangerous would be the best word. I'm considering trading the van in for an economical car with a payment of about $200 a month that I can cashflow and use it as a tax write off. Would this be smart?

Some women are so scared by the word "prenup" that they jump ship despite the fact that it's just an agreement. You can agree to split certain assets if you want.
It isn't even necessarily a "you get nothing."
It's "you can't take me to the cleaners if this falls apart and it isn't the man's fault," as most divorces tend to be.

Smart. That's exactly how to weed it those who just want to marry you for your stuff.
You can revisit the prenup later, but it's a good thing to get. You can explain it protects them too. Also. Again you can change it around later
