@@ZonkedCompanion Oh dear! Bit too deep and slow? Surely he dropped a jungle section? I've seen him three times this year and he always stepped up with one, which was my favourite bit. And surely he played the SPY remix of Atlantis? He seems to love that one more than his own original 🤣
@@bluejackmedia only stuck around for 20min or so as the crowd was overbearing and I was desperate for a piss, but what I did hear I didn't recognise as Bukem... But I guess what should I expect? 1993 was 30 years ago haha.
@@ZonkedCompanion Ha! Funny. Probably playing to the crowd. My mate did the crane on the stage and she loved it. But she likes house. Similar story - my wife's friend is married to Sub Focus. Went to a private party in a barn in the middle of nowhere last weekend. He played a 3-hour set. But not before I made it clear (in a nice way) that he should prove his DnB credentials by playing some older tunes. And he did! Knows his history. Then he played all his type of stuff. My 10 year old daughter absolutely loved it 🤣🤣
@@ZonkedCompanion Some of his set is on BBC Sounds now. It's deep, all new tracks. Not 100% what I like, but we can't all have been alive in peak 90s jungle!!! Respect brother 👊
Love this... Because music has evolved so much since the early 90s when I hear these original tapes they sound so new..... "It's so old skool it's new skool!!!!." each track is the feeling that everything after tries so hard to be but can't because music reflects the times and the times have changed
Also, pretty sure xtc was a lot cleaner in 93/94 haha. Everyone loved right up not like raves these days with vetinary drugs and hippy crack being the go to
I needed to go to bed early but was so engrossed by the SO DIFFERENT yet usual sounding resampled hardcore mania I ever heard. Bukem is DEFO one of the best and his "hay day" signature mixes in terms of Style/Sound yeah? Well Bukem chosen tracks have always worked with my energies and what flavors I am into musically. The Rave world would NOT be the same without LTJ mr Bukem Danno ! THANKS FOR SHARING THIS TAPE
@eltel69 How did you find this out?... I have been trying to find another recording so I can verify but nothing comes up for bukem at the edge on that date when I google around...
Check if the little sponge thing is pushing the tape onto the head properly, I have had to crack various tapes open and adjust the sponge thing a few times over the years it's pretty easy.

This is superb. First saw Bukem in 93 when I was 17. Checked him last weekend in Brixton. Still the don. Incredible man.
Saw him at Glastonbury a couple weeks back. I wasn't overly impressed with the selection I must admit.
