    Some people are saying you should’ve been a teacher or vet or whatever. Being a Rancher/Farmer you are those trades/occupations. You learn to do pretty much everything. Scientist, vet, teacher, mechanic, electrician, biologist, welder, sharp shooter, pilot, wildlife manager, fire fighter, investor, economist, the list goes on and on.
    Everything was perfectly clear, no questions here. Keep up the great work!

      You are correct. We had a stallion Leo Whiz 9 times worlds all around champion & AQHA supreme champion 1957-1982 & 4 mares & that was a ton of work. People do not realize that having just a few horses is a lot of work. Just having one stallion is a lot of work. We found 150 frozen sperm samples of the stallion we had. It was all still viable. He sired about 250 registered foals during his lifetime & siring great horses 40 years after his death. The mares all carry his blood.

    Wow, did this bring back memories of my theriogenology class at OSU... From palpating to collecting, to analyzing the collection... The only differences are that you didn't wear a helmet (which I recommend in most cases, but I know you know your stud), and that your AV looks a lot easier to manage than the ones we had in the early 1990s! They looked like a leather rifle case with a jar on one end. Good luck with your program.

    Ok. What is that Shi Tzu's name?! He sure does love you!!! Him's almost in every video trailing you like a herd dog! I love that every time you look at him or in his direction he wags his tail. Give that behbeh a kiss for me!
    I'm glad you explained the brutality of the 'natural' way of breeding, it surprised me also how many people were asking 'why not?'. I'd think most of the people asking who were interested enough in a channel like this had seen at least ONE documentary that included natural breeding. I say 'watch a documentary' as it seems a great deal of commenters have never even been near a live horse let alone been around long enough to see them breed naturally. No shade to anyone who hasn't, I'm glad y'all are here and interested enough to want to learn more.

    I Am VERY Impressed...! I was in Medicine & You were incredibly Professional....it was easy to see you know what you are talking about-doing. Very to point matter of fact way of putting things which makes the viewer-student feel confident in what you are presenting-explaining-teaching. I've learned from Professors-Professionals like You & it is phenomenal to be able to get the info' knowledge in this one time manner & know that I got it right no need for all the extra work in finding what all was missing. I know ppl are thinking this is a 14+ plus minute video how can you have a great of info in that short time to know what you are talking about....I can answer this quite easily. When you have a Master teacher it's the biggest difference in the world. One can literally cut down years of having to get one's Doctorates &/or Specialized Medical Degrees-Licenses from 6 yrs or more to 2-3yrs. One of the records I hold in Medicine....accomplished as a Med. Student is...thru a great amount of tests-testings....I accomplished performing as well as having the knowledge of a "5th Year Med. Student".....5yrs of Medical School achieved in 8mos of My VERY FIRST YEAR in Medicine. I hope this clarifies what I'm trying to convey & you receive this highest compliment one could ever be given for you certainly deserve it. Thank you for sharing of your knowledge & teaching the correct way of treating these Majestic Beautiful Souls. Bravo..! BTW....Are You Single...?! Had to ask...woohooo Good Looking Brother...! And You're just the right age for this Sister...! ☺☺😄😄😉😊

    That was a crazy answer to everyone asking why don’t you let them just breed live? “It’s too dangerous “. He couldn’t understand why people would ask that question. How have horses survived for thousands of years without this guy? I’m surprised they aren’t extinct.
    And I think the automatic round pen looks like a torture device.

    • @Boogleoogly
      @Boogleoogly 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Mares won’t accept every male
      That’s one of the reasons why Stallions fight it’s to impress the females and make them more accepting even then it’s not super uncommon for a mare to attack him and potentially kill him it’s the same with every animal
      There’s a risk with breeding even with the alpha male not every female with be accepting of him
      There’s a huge difference between captive horses and wild horses
      And with the ones we own we want the best survival and we can make those choices to keep them safer
