Notable for Primary Crux is that it fulfills a condition that primary arcanes have been sorely needing, and that Primary Frostbite and Primary Blight both failed at. The Acolyte Arcanes don't just replace a mod, they do the job significantly better than that mod could, being more than twice as strong as primary base damage mods. Meanwhile Primary Blight/Frostbite only replace Vital Sense pretty much 1:1, and then edge into the territory of multishot mods, which due to Galvanized multishot mods are giving massive diminishing returns compared to what the slot could be doing normally. Primary Crux doesn't just give more damage in a weird way. It gives entirely new features. Fractalized Reset is only good for a truly small number of weapons and even then there's other ways to bypass those problems. But Ammo Efficiency? That's not something a lot of weapons can get. There's very few sources of that. On top of giving a really good amount of it that directly affects burst dps and long-term ammo economy simultaneously, it gives a truly massive amount of status chance. Primary Crux is a big winner, for me. Especially since the dominance of Acolyte Arcanes has been further shaken by the existence of Spectral Serration, and the fact that high status weapons can just use GunCO as a source of base damage in most cases regardless. As for Energized Munitions only multiplying with other sources, that leads me to a funny. Gauss 400% Duration Energized Munitions + Primary Crux + Primed Chamber + Vectis Prime.
One might say "But why not run deadhead or merciless?". Those are the good options. Then there are the fun options. Remember fellas: ain't no dakka like a lot of dakka. But you can always use...MORE. DAKKA!
My +150% fire rate Kohm Riven agrees...18 fire rate before spool up. I may as well be scooping the bullets up with a bucket and throwing it at them. This riven makes it ALMOST usable without constantly running out of ammo.
Tried this arcane for gotva in elite archimedea since it was on my rotation this week, and oh boi, 60% ammo efficiency was good, but i never saw mine gotva filling the entire screen with red crits and melting the nech in single mag. That 300% status chance is way too good to miss for this
Looking at the energy bar in that preview with zephyr shooting that felarx reminds me of my idea that there should be an overguard/overshields equivalent to excessive energy generation. Anyway awesome vid!
Giving overguard for excess energy generation would possibly give Trinity a much needed boost because her 'rework' didn't actually address the problems in her kit. Harrow would now have good survival too
@@StevenTLawson I read that as an energy equivalent mechanic, not just gain overguard when you get more energy than your cap. Something like gaining casting speed when you cast an ability using "over-energy"
@@MaciejCreates But the cap for Overshields being 1200 and 2400 for Harrow means it's mostly pointless to even have overshield as that little amount gets deleted quickly at even base steel path, where as overguard has no cap unless specified so it would be far more useful with Energy Vampire.
@@StevenTLawsonharrow has amazing survivability. His 1 gives him cc and shield gate+tanking with adaptation and arcane aegis. His 4th gives him invurnability.
dera incarnon with crux is crazy, incarnon itself has ammo efficiency on kill, which stacks with the crux efficiency, and 4th incarnon where + crit chance based on % status chance, which makes the incarnon crit and status proc like crazy with high efficiency ammo
1:10 Fun fact about the tank! It is immune to most armour strips /except/ for melee armour strip mod! So the vastilok makes quick work of its resistances (potentially skyrocketing damage output with the burston!)
Quellor's high 38% base status chance pairs really well with primary crux and the alt fire also benefits a lot from the ammo efficiency buff - taking it from 6 alt fire shots per mag to 15 shots which also helps offset the 4 second reload
Better than merciless? I've got a Riven for Kuva Kohm which is like mag size and multi shot and with minus projectile speed. Been running merciless on it and using biting frost or nyx to give it crit on top

I've been having some fun with this arcane and the Nagantaka Prime in conjunction with Energized munitions. I love tinkering with new arcanes and mods.
The Crux on blast exergis paired with nautilus cordon is nutty. Elementalist pushes it to 2mag and crux allows you to shoot 5 times. IF you run madurai and you press the first skill, you have unlimited ammo for a few seconds.
I've found primary crux to be insanely fun on a handful of shotguns and beam weapons, like the kohm which burns through ammo quite quickly. with crux you can easily negate part of its ammo problem and its fun to just blast the kohm for way longer than you're usually capable of. Same goes for bubonico and using crux to help spam its secondary fire.
Now that i think of this While yes, for primaries that meant to kill they won't get SP arcane damage bonus, because of excessive status chance bonuc you can drop 60/60s and replace them with 90s or even primed mods. That would result in effective 50% (or up to 175%, assuming you replace all 60/60s with primes) damage boost, which wont fully compensate, but at least soften the blow of not having damage arcane. Plus if i remember correctly, don't main element statuses effectively double dip on respective element mods?
Heat, electric and toxin use their 'modded elemental %' in their damage calculations, so a pistol with Primed Heated Charge and Scorch will do three times as much damage with its heat procs than one proccing without those mods. This percentage is snapshotted on the first heat proc you inflict on an enemy (Along with faction bonus), which is how 'heat inherit' setups work.
Kengineer there are plenty weapons that can get as high damage output, or even an increase from Crux's extra +3,0 SC, they would from the +3,2 base damage bonus from Merciless.
a weapon i have loved it on is the Khom, that thing chews through ammo so bad so having the ability to build fire rate and dump mags without running out of ammo after a minute is amazing, the damage output is alright nothing crazy but it clears any steelpath content just fine so dosent really need to do anything more than that.
And here I am slapping this arcane on my Acuity AX-52 and Soma Prime. I still get to my end-goals, but having not known/thought about Multishot counting for the arcane, well... egg on my face.
Probably not a good one answer, of course, but with Frostbite, Blight, mods like Tenacious giving final Crit damage, and Crepuscular, what are the best to use when, and for what weapons, and more importantly, *why*? Hell, even the Elementalist mods for more status damage that Warframe in the past had very very little of- it was a lot easier to understand modding and what stat(s) to boost when it was mainly just Flat dmg, Multishot, and DoTs. I'm loving all the newer options like status damage, crit damage, or even crit chance like with Outburst, but I'm getting a little lost in the *why* to boost a certain stat vs another.
SP builds are usually one source of flat dmg, usually the arcane, but some times you can get away with the serration equivalent or add it alongside the arcane, the galvanised mods, a bane, then the rest into elements and/or crit. Some times you'll end up with a flex slot depending on your build/weapon. Remember that with crit and status you really only want to build for them when the base number is like 18% or above. If they're at least 18% you can get okay mileage out of it. Above that and you're really cooking. Don't forget to build around any quirks or unique traits of your weapon. Often times they're game and mod changing. For instance the Gotva Prime really really loves status chance so the more you can get the more you'll crit. Or snipers benefitting heavily from the aiming mods. Rivens are a consideration, but don't ALWAYS go for the "godroll" of ms/cc/cd. Sure, big number is good, but Rivens are very handy for smoothing out builds and opening up mod slots, especially when you get a low dispo weapon. The quality of life rivens can add to a meta weapon build is probably better than just simply more dmg since these weapons already eat enemies for breakfast. For instance my trumna prime riven has toxin and status on it meaning mine is pulling the role of two mods at once. Learning how the mechanics works also helps you build better. For instance status heavily benefits from multishot, even more so on beam weaponry. And lastly, think about how the weapon is going to interact with the rest of your kit. I have a tazicor freezing every thing around me in 20m. That makes it so that gaining incarnon charges is much easier and my crit dmg goes straight through the roof. So for a build example let's take a look at a weapon I just got: Dual Toxocyst Incarnon Arcane Enervate This arcane is crazy strong with fast firing, multi hitting weapons and turns any weapon that meets one of those into a crit monster. In fact it's so strong you don't even need the crit bonus trait to make it work, I've opted for the punch through on kill trait instead. With this and the trait the weapon becomes an aoe killing war crime. Galvanised Aptitude / Galvanised Diffusion / Magnetic Might / Lethal Torrent / Frostbite / Pistol Pestilence / Primed Heated Charge / Primed Target Cracker / Targeting Subsystem Here we have a bunch of crit damage to work alongside our enervate as well as status that always works well with fast firing weapons. Because of the weapon's unique trait we need less base damage so we're not running an arcane nor a flat base damage mod. The galvanised mods are obviously a no brainer. You could swap out Primed Heated Charge for a bane of your choice, or even swap magnetic might for the aiming bonus crit damage if you like.

And since i believe it's base status chance, i would think just off primary crux you would hit 756% status chance. Could be an insane status provider with the new radiation and magnetic mods freeing up slots for other element combinstions. Plus it comes with blast. And even though it most people use it for the aoe over the direct hit, i bet it would shred with galvanized savvy.
I just built this and it's completely bonkers! Personally I like it even more than the Kuva Kohm idea people mentioned in other comments as the Strun Prime doesn't have a spool with a slow startup. I've tried a lot of combinations in the simularcum but viral+elec+elementalist was basically the same as viral+elec+hunter munitions but the former has more magazine and should have better results against enemies with a status cap. Also removing 2 viral mods for stuff like faction mods is only worth it if you use nourish or have reliable max-viral from somewhere else.

theirs a perk on felarx that on reload youll either have 4m punch through or more projectile speed. it changes when you load a shell. i run that with these setups cuz 4m punch through is crazy high and when your fighting in tight corridors you mow down groups with ease. also gonna try using zephyr with cyte 09s subsume with this combo. looks fun af
Crux is the best choice for weapons with at least 50-60% modded status chance. More status=more procs per bullet, which also scales with multishot. Weapons like felarx are focused on pure raw damage, but weapons like burston? Oh boi, full heat setup+multishot=30+ heat procs with only 3 shots, insane.
If only we had a Secondary Crux as well. Akimbo Slip Shot provides the same amount of Ammo Efficiency but the aim gliding/sliding requirement makes it way less universally applicable than Primary Crux.
Have u played around with Dera/Vandal incarnon with the similar to boltor incarnon's efficiency on kill evo 2 + the evo 4 that adds base crit chance scaling with current status chance? been messing around with it but still feel like hit or miss (in both meanings)
Niche is right, but niche can be very good. For me personally, I think the only weapons I would run this with are the Cedo, the Trumna (Eventually the Prime when I get around to it), and possibly my Incarnon'ed Dera Vandal, so it's not a huge priority, but I expect it to be very silly once I do get it going.
Status nukes are fun with this. Kohm, Strun, Convectrix, anything that wants to stack w bluesky procs. Convectrix with Ash and a riven is a fucking riot.
For some reason one of the wiki editors decided to delete the Note about Ammo Efficiency entirely after I added the part about reaching 100%. Is it something supposed to hide to avoid exploitation or nerf or something?
Honestly. The under performance of arcane crux is an active display to your lack of creativity. In the end arcane crux has a place for some weapons specifically beam shotguns. Plus it gives endless potential for fun. Remember you only need to be able to hit weak points so ANY primary can use it . Have fun tenno
Primary Deadhead my problem with Primary Crux, is that if I have to be aiming for heads, I might as well be using Primary Deadhead instead. Deadhead with fewer but stronger status procs, vs Crux with more procs but less base damage.... sidegrade at best. and ammo efficiency is overrated. I guess the video confirms it, Crux good for about 2 niche/meme builds with ammo stacking; but not worth it elsewhere.

For sure a good option for when you're farming something that isn't endgame and the damage is still plenty.
theirs a perk on felarx that on reload youll either have 4m punch through or more projectile speed. it changes when you load a shell. i run that with these setups cuz 4m punch through is crazy high and when your fighting in tight corridors you mow down groups with ease. also gonna try using zephyr with cyte 09s subsume with this combo. looks fun af
Gotva Prime: My time has come
Crux is hilarious with the Kohm
Loving this on Acceltra
This should also synergize very well with the strun incarnon using the galvanic reload perk
Usually the status chance on Crux only good on demolition mission as you focus only on 1 enemy
i put this arcane on the ak, its not even maxed out but with its passive i get to spray and pray at head level infinitely. it feels great.
I have been using it on an hybrid vermisplicer with thermal transfer to add heat and blast, and it is pretty strong
If only we had a Secondary Crux as well. Akimbo Slip Shot provides the same amount of Ammo Efficiency but the aim gliding/sliding requirement makes it way less universally applicable than Primary Crux.
Have u played around with Dera/Vandal incarnon with the similar to boltor incarnon's efficiency on kill evo 2 + the evo 4 that adds base crit chance scaling with current status chance? been messing around with it but still feel like hit or miss (in both meanings)
crux with harrow is very mad funny honestly
Niche is right, but niche can be very good. For me personally, I think the only weapons I would run this with are the Cedo, the Trumna (Eventually the Prime when I get around to it), and possibly my Incarnon'ed Dera Vandal, so it's not a huge priority, but I expect it to be very silly once I do get it going.
Status nukes are fun with this. Kohm, Strun, Convectrix, anything that wants to stack w bluesky procs. Convectrix with Ash and a riven is a fucking riot.
Strun incarnon + strun riven + primary crux = strun go brr indefinitely with electricity.
Does the Felarx evolution not work if you are not host? I cannot seem to get it working in real missions but it works great in testing
Works great on the amprex
And the ignis
For some reason one of the wiki editors decided to delete the Note about Ammo Efficiency entirely after I added the part about reaching 100%. Is it something supposed to hide to avoid exploitation or nerf or something?
Could you please do an updated video on your how long to farm every Warframe video?
I wamt to put this on my Kuva Khom. Will it be good? Probably not. Will it be funny? Maybe.
Oh it's good alright 😂 I have over 600 status on my og kohm with riven😂😂
sooo… Lavos Prime? what was your reaction to the “very” obvious hints from rebb
Honestly. The under performance of arcane crux is an active display to your lack of creativity. In the end arcane crux has a place for some weapons specifically beam shotguns. Plus it gives endless potential for fun. Remember you only need to be able to hit weak points so ANY primary can use it . Have fun tenno
When did they rework zephyr again? You can hold 1 to hover? I quit when voruna came out
INFINITE DAKKA!!!!
I am bad at mathematics so how's Secondary Enervate yield?
how would this be on Gotva Prime?
I assume stacking with other multipliers is because the game considers it "modded" efficiency, or not a external buff.
Arcane Impetus on Lavos when? 😭
Third. We dont talk about the Second...
I thought "this'll be good for my nagantaka build!"
On burst shot it shoots 1 bolt (2 bolts if you're lucky)
Nothin saves that weapon.
Kinda suck that Primar Curx wont work with weapon on incaranon mode :(
What do you use for survivability on lavos?
iirc its mainly armor and health he does have a video on his lavos
i tested crux on Khek
weirdly enough its alt fire either fired 2 or 3 times
Using this in Equinox's night form...
Level cap Nocturnal Emission
God I fucking missed your guides
This thing is absolutely busted on fast firing shotguns like the Boar. Highly recommended.
Soma prime and haya-satya with this is prolly gonna be busted
Unrelated note : hyped for the potion seller prime
it woul be great for most status primers if they werent secondary weapons
All these tasty weapon suggestions in the comments... I'm gonna have a busy weekend once i max out this arcane.
Primary Deadhead
my problem with Primary Crux, is that if I have to be aiming for heads, I might as well be using Primary Deadhead instead.
Kinda good on my quartaak but i think beam will go crazy
I was kinda expecting a Cyte or Nyx video :(
EDIT: I've seen the video. Watched it now.
There already is a Cyte video
@CrashSable
Wait there is?
@@CrashSable
Watched it now
Does arcane acceleration work on felarx?
Good catch, I forgot to swap from rifle to shotgun variant. Use **Arcane Tempo** for fire rate on shotguns.
@@TheKengineer love your builds they are very creative
Ive had to drop wf since i grinded for leg 1 from mr27 i would be happy to play with a full auto minigun boltor with infinite ammo all you gotta do is spray in the enemy direction
Has anyone tried this with the Soma Prime using its Deimos augment mod?
Hata-Satya.
Infinite bullets is infinite damage scaling.
Just found out it is capped.... maaaaaan
I use this on my grakata with both augments. It's not necessarily good, but it is funny
TIL the Felarx is auto; I've only ever used it as a semi-auto for faceblasting.
Primary crux with the Phantasma ?......
WHERES DAN????
Lavos gaming
Flux rifle with crux>
using this on ignis is fun but 0 dmg...
Probo Cernos? 😳
