You guys will have to forgive us, but we do these videos at night after the kids are asleep and we were both really tired after one hell of a day.
In this video Kayleigh talks a bit about her first birthday and how she still feels somewhat uncomfortable...so to take away from making it all about herself, she's doing something for charity.
It's amazing the hold the indoctrination has after 6 months of being out. Then again, we'll probably carry some of it to the grave. But we won't let it stop us from living! :)

Glad to meet you through YT. Just a personal (odd) connection, in that my grandmother was from Armagh and my aunt and uncle were serving in South Africa for many years. After being 'born-in', I have left the org. along with my wife of 45 years. Use your time to develop friendships with others and build an unconditional bond with them and your family.

It's been around 30 years since I was disfellowshipped and I am totally cleansed of the JW doctrines. However, one thing that is a by-product of once being a JW is that I don't really bother with my own birthday. I'm more than happy to celebrate others' birthdays but I don't get enthused for mine. Anyway, 2 years plus, here a belated "Happy Birthday" to you....

They tossed me in the trash when I revealed that I wasn't ready for baptism.
I now enjoy life a bit more , I felt more free and explored unique beers and liquor. Yuengling golden pilsner is now my #1, I've also got into fine cigar smoking.
I don't over indulge, this is just to relax a bit.
Your hair is so beautiful, sorry you are cutting it off, you are still young enough to have long hair and it not be strange, I hope you grow it back, but, it is yours to do as you please you have many more freedoms than ever before leaving wttbs/jw. GOD BLESS BOTH of you and your little children too !!! 🤣🤣🤣 LOVE you guys you are a beautiful couple !!!

Maybe try not to talk over him too much, try let him finish his sentences... been observing this on all your videos, I noticed when he’s about to get to a certain point you say something over him that kills what he was about to say. Try to work on that. And also thank you for your voice, I’ve cried I’ve laughed... you’ve gained a subscriber 🥳

I started watching your videos after being contacted by JW and having talks with one. I am atheist so I spoke out of pure curiosity and gave my genuine thoughts. I have limited knowledge about JW and sometimes mix them up with mormons so I started looking it up. So, why is the charity shunned? Is the logic along the lines "JW are saving the world so everything else is a distraction"?
Giving your hair is cool, giving cash you realize that only a fraction of the money goes where they say it does, they have CEO's who make 10's of million/year and call it a non-profit. Sounds like the ceo is making plenty of profit, more profit than I may in my lifetime... KNOW the charity you give to and see how much money goes to administration cost, there are many illegitimate clowns out there claiming non-profit while begging for money with horrible images of hungry children etc. etc.
Maybe some made U feel U couldn't donate 2 charity but that would only be a few narrow minded persons who had that view. Having been through numerous traumas and were assisted by charity organisations have donated 2 such. I am unaware of such being an official policy of the org as such but maybe like getting married in this system. Some always go way beyond and even the org went beyond it regarding marriage during the 40s.
Highly frowned upon. There have been many times JWs have been counseled through talks and literature that our time and resources ought to go to "Jehovah." To contribute to charity is like "polishing the handrails of the Titanic." It was understood that If one did so, it was to be on the DL. However, it may be more strongly discouraged in some areas than others.
