    His ability to play at Paco’s pace but without capo on 2nd fret as Paco performed it is even more amazing, The extra reach required is significant, hands from the all high 👏👏👏

    • @mysteriousman4966
      @mysteriousman4966 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is it more difficult this way?

    • @rickandrew6397
      @rickandrew6397 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yes, the fret spacing increases up the neck, although not a huge increase with 2 more fret spaces it increases the required finger reach, increasing the difficulty of precisely fretting each string (more space also fractionally lengthens the time to make the placement). Grisha is able to accomplish at speed and accuracy comparable to Paco with capo at 2nd. I think Grishas' fingers may be just a little longer which helps him. Both of them play this piece superbly, both are available on youtube, track down and watch successively, it will be enjoyable. Both have unbelievably fast picaddo which makes it possible. Samulito also has excellent picaddo and I think have seen him perform on youtube. Be well my friend ✌

      samuelito is good too he is better than grisha ....grisha is just a machine for me ... i dont feel that passion when i listen to him and i think its beacuse he is a classical guitarist deep inside so he changes the accents of flamenco pieces when he play maybe even unconsciously

      @@sepehr-di6rx He's definitely not a machine, Grisha puts feeling and thought into each note in my opinion. He might accent things a bit differently, but wouldn't it be boring if he just played everything the "standard" way? He plays according to how he feels the music and puts his own individuality into it, which is correct.

      @@claudiogonzalez3278 Hi Claudio and thank you for your question. Yes, I do, but I unfortunately do not have it handy right now. However, if helpful, I send you a TH-cam link to my father playing it himself, and you will see that Paco made a couple of changes (mainly one chord in the beginning, the arpeggio my father does is more similar to Villa-Lobos famous Etude #1 than to Paco´s, and obviously the alzapua and final rasgueo. Besides that, as is very obvious from his interpretation of his own work, is that he, as did my godfather Sabicas, did not believe in faster is better...My godfather loved to go to the horse races and both he and my father used to refer to those who were only or primarily interesed in showing their speed as "toque Acelerado, Agresivo y Arrogante". I think the símile is gráfic, as the best jockey does not let a fast Horse go as fast as he can go during the entire race, but rather controls him until the moment of truth calls for it. Technique, sound color, Tone, feeling, emphasis, etc. are, in my Limited opinion, as important as having the ability to round up the wagons and run, but only when it is called for. Musicality comes first. Best. th-cam.com/video/hEbFuVo7SBM/w-d-xo.html

      TropicIslandpopartist nonsense. Nobody could dance to Paco’s “greatest hits”. This is concert hall flamenco. Grisha is way more varied and better sound than paco. Paco is authentic for sure but I’d rather listen to grisha except a couple of paco performances.

      the way it works in Spain is you grow up learning essentials and then you accompany singer and dancers and then after doing that for a great amount of time you gain experience and then if you are able you play solo .... you cant become a flamenco composer simply by covering other guitarists pieces its a path you have to go to be able to compose like Paco or others

      While Paco may appear to have more fire, this day and age has no forgiving recording methods. It is harder today to make it sound, on record, as good as Paco did. Also, even if you find it less fiery than Paco's performance, that does not mean it is thin on itself.
