    • @ewan.cartwright
      @ewan.cartwright 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      NASA promotes the movie, the movie promotes NASA, in theory anyway. It’s a bit strange given how cynical Ad Astra is about space exploration; its bleak depiction of humanity’s future in space. Beautiful, but hardly “lighting a fire in the imaginations of the next generation of explorers”.

      Actors talking to Actors. The ISS actor says it best...lighting a fire in the IMAGINATIONS. Nothing more than an elaborate overpaid deception.

Not deny them, and try to make others doubt them too! A lot of people have put in many hours of extremely hard work to achieve all that we have achieved. People like you are trying to take that away from them. Nice try, but, too bad for you, nothing can take away from what is.

    Space is there to learn more about ourselves. We can experience this not only in a space station, but in exchange with people who share their experiences with us from up there and down here with people who make space travel possible.
    I am firmly convinced that we must take the step into the vastness of the universe to protect our future, the next generations of mankind, from danger. But there are not only dangers for us like asteroids, solar storms and the already real existing global warming for which we have to go into space.
    They are also great opportunities for people like Brad Pitt, you or me to expand our spiritual horizons with facts about the experiences and experiments of people living in space.
    So we can protect ourselves from delusions and it helps us to find new ways together to do the right thing, to make the right decisions and to fill our daily profession on earth with the right consequences for the future of our children and ourselves.
    I would like to especially thank NASA, Brad Pitt and astronaut Nick Hague for their serious effort to share some of your experiences with us here on TH-cam.
    With cosmic greetings: Andres Stäubli, Switzerland, Rüti Glarus

    Is it just me or is 5:17 a trip? He’s watching himself on the projector watch the astronaut? Also, the camera angle for brad is straight, but there’s no camera in front of him?

    I still like Brad Pitt because I haven’t heard him saying anything about politics and that’s a great thing, hopefully he will continue staying out of politics so I can continue watching his movies!!!

    Sorry, Brad. But I think the first actor in space would be Tom Cruise.

      I don't think he actually went to space right? Just the outer atmosphere? I can be wrong though.

    If the ISS gets its power from the Sun, why don't companies build solor panels for average citizens and their electricity will be cheap after a number of years?

    • @suicidalbanananana
      @suicidalbanananana 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is already a thing, at least in central Europe, you get discounts on buying solar panels, then if you have a few (3-5 depending on the size of house) you have enough to power your own house completely, electricity wont just be cheap, it goes beyond that, you have no more electricity bill ever & then as a bonus you can *sell* your excess power back to the normal electricity grid, so in the end you get 'free' power in a few years (you pretty much 'earn back' what you paid for the solar panels over the course of a few years, because yea, thats the main downside at the moment, even with the discount its still like 1k for a mediocre quality panel, more if you want the latest solar tech)

      Sun doesn't always shine, solar panels degrade over time, and you have to store energy in something like batteries which aren't eternal;) It's more complex then you think.
