I really enjoyed that. My Grandad hit the road with a bus in 1917 and went up to WW2 ... I was so inspired that I got into a truck in 1976 and am still at it... I love those early bristols you drove... well done 👏
What a marvellous career some great pics a I bet you've travelled a lot of miles and seen some great locations and met a lot of people through out your long career......
Some great pictures of the United.if I recall it was split into northumbria, Scarborough and district and the Co Durham and part of North Yorkshire section remained United for some years afterwards.i use to go all over the place on the United as a kid,got as far north as Berwick,west as Carlisle,south as Bridlington (probably east too?).
