On the boscarne branch it was due to it. it being used since november as the santa specials only ran on the parkway branch, the awful weather didn’t help either
Excellent video thank you ! The gradients on that line are brutal and I’ve often been rescued as here but I wonder if the prairie had a fault unless it was a heavily loaded train ?
Glad you liked it not the train was no heavier then normal in fact 3 is a lighter load but its just with the time of year and the line not being used it's very slippery! Please consider subscribing 🙂
I've always wondered what the inside of the cab of Judy & Alfred looked like while working, Not sure what else I was expecting. It almost looks fake, with how short they are.
Looks like it needs a lot more secondary air in a lot of this running, thick black smoke quite often. Would also help cool the doors down.

I've never seen a 'baby change' sign in GWR livery before - oh how times have changed 😆.
don't think you saw one in this video either - however BR Western brown, yes.
@@JBTEvans I think I did Mr (assumed 🤔) Evans ... last few frames @ 8:55 😉
@@rarerufus8864it’s a brown BR(W) sign not GWR. Bodmin General is represented in a 1950s condition.
@@JBTEvans Logical semantics leave me cold - as does deflection of answerability 🤫.
i was speaking to you yesterday on the breakvan ride and on the last train
Ah yes I hope you liked the video =)
Where can you buy those toy locos from?
Ideal for the garden.
I'm guessing Judy's fire was clinkering up.
No the smoke box doors got two hot and could not open to add more coal! Please consider subscribing
@chuffedontrainsSmokebox doors?!
i think they meant firebox doors
Someone ordered in some bad coal.
Is this a real engine or something you’ve modified? What would it have been used for?
Do you mean the low cab steam engine?
If so, Judy is a one of a pair of engines built to run around Par docks, Alfred being the other one.
@@robertbartender591 yes that’s the one, I guess they are a bit like Bill and Ben from Thomas the Tank
@@stuntmanwillthey were the inspiration for Bill and Ben.
They were purpose built like that in order to clear a very low bridge under the GW main line on the Par Dock system.
There is no way I could afford a loco LOL But there was a very low bridge at Par docks and that's why the locos were built with suck low cabs.
Only problem with the little ones is they don’t have the boiler capacity for long distances
