Dubb, thats a ingenious mod. Not haveing to rig a larger carb , linkage, sometimes choke flap on the wrong side, ect. I would dissemble the plates remove the screws, and loctite them, then reassemble...then grind away!! That covid, try to stay active, sit up,dont lay down alot And drink lots of water. Hang in there.thanks for the videos.
Definitely a pretty easy mod without any fitment issues like you said. I've been giving it my best. I think I'm on the way out of it now, Definitely feeling better today. 👍🏻
TW - man, I just spend a week at home with Rona-19. I didn't have anything but a stuff nose. You are in my prayers and take it easy. I force myself to do my morning routine, which is 5 miles in the morning, to avoid retaining fluid in my lung as the medical folks said was the most challenging for those who struggle with Rona-19. Healing prayers coming your way.
Glad you had a very mild case 👍🏻 staying active and hydrated is a big help. When I got it in Dec of 2019 It kicked my lungs butt. Still have lung issues from that one, so any respiratory virus now kicks me hard. But I'm getting better everyday now.
Red locktite that little screw through your butterfly first so no matter how much you remove it’ll stay together pretty solidly and it’s never going to back itself out some and loosen up and the head be gone so it’s hard as heck to try to get it back tight…. With them locktited together you can really remove a good bit of that screw head and it’s no worries… 😉👍
I use to do that to all my car and motorcycle carbs , i liked looking for what i call free horsepower and looking for everything that increases efficiency.
When you reinstalled this carb did you have to make any adjustments due to the increase flow? Was typing my comment & heard you say you have covid. Take care of yourself. I know people that had it and it was no worse than a bad cold. It had me down for 3 weeks and several weeks more to get back to normal. Get well, Joe Z
Yes you def need to have the limiters off. A carb tune will definitely need to happen. Yeppers Ole Covid got me. It's always hit me pretty hard and takes a long time to get past all the quirky symptoms. I just started tasting Mtn Dew and Coke normally again from the first strain in 2019. It destroyed my taste and smell. Haven't had any of them issues with this one tho.
I still cannot smell metal burning. Such as testing a car with worn out pads, metal to metal and certain foods. I regained most of my taste back although some foods taste a little off still.
@@JOEZEP54 it's crazy how a respiratory virus can cause all kinds of issues like that. My heart rate has been all out of wack ever since then to. And heat is a no go, if I start to get hot, my heart rate goes to 140bpm, sweat like crazy, and I'll pass out, Even when taking a shower. Never had issues until then. Hopefully 1 day it'll be back to normal 👍🏻
It is no fun at all, just did finally start to feeling a bit better, ended up getting a respiratory infection and started feeling worse, but luckily i went to the doc and they got me started on a Z Pak and it has started helping so much.
@@Doc-Cole_Trickle-of-Chainsawsi use some of them, it isnt OEM quality but it isnt OEM price either and they stand behind their parts. I order a lot from traverse creek

@@dubbssawshop - ey young fellor,. how you feeling today?
Get well soon. That mod should dramatically reduce turbulence and improve flow.
Yup I gotta try that!

Heck yea, I use the Permatex Orange most of the time. Strength of red, but removable like blue. Been some good stuff. 👍🏻
Damn Tw I hope you get back to 100% soon! Now here I go grinding on a couple carbs lol! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much 👍🏻!! Hopefully on the upside of this now. You'll do great, just don't rush it, and it'll def be worth it.
Wow, thats a lot more flow area through the carb now
Very cool. I've been trying to find info on this. Have you ever tried "sharpening" the throttle blade end?
No I haven't tried, I'm sure it's one of the really small things that adds up tho. 👍🏻
I use to do that to all my car and motorcycle carbs , i liked looking for what i call free horsepower and looking for everything that increases efficiency.
💯!!!! Free HP may be a bit time consuming, but adds up nicely in the end. 👍🏻
