Thanks for having me on Ben 🤙🏻 let’s do it again soon 🔥
Heck yeah! You killed the review!
Great video! I just got this camera for my birthday and I need a lens to go with it for my vlog. Do you have a recommendation?
I'm not a camera expert, but I love my A7iv for TH-cam and video podcasts. The flip out screen is a must for a solo creator. If you can afford it, go for it. If you want a quality vlogging camera that is lighter and more affordable, go for something in the ZV series. You can do 4K. A lot of big channels use them, so they are up to the task.
Thank you Ben for all the content you put out.
I learned a lot from your lighting videos. I invested in better lighting and picked up an a7iv and I am very happy with my production thanks to you!
Amazing!
Your video on lighting really helped me in a huge way … it improved my video quality so much and experienced more growth on my channel as well ! For that im very grateful Ben 💯🔥 Keep making amazing content 🔥
Amazing I’m glad it helped!!
Bro, ive been watching your channel since i started, and even without having the equipment yet all of the tips and ideas has really helped me out, I am now looking to find some lights, cameras, and microphones last since theyre most expensive for my situation. Im gonna use the same set for all of my channels i have open now.. I say all this to conclude with thank you!!
Hey, you are welcome! Thanks for watching!
Nice Collab Ben & Zack. Fantastic Review. Really Helpful Keep Going Guys....

Great!
amazing review really really amazing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Killin it bro!
Thank you! 🤘🏻
That webcam difference is significant! First time I’ve seen it compared side by side.
Oh yeah it is a massive difference for sure!
Great video 📸
Thanks Johnson!
What lense would go with this camera for indoor studio for video shoot ( like your and Zac with nice BG ) Sony FE 35mm F1.4 GM or SIGMA 24-70 F2.8 or some other lens you would suggest?
I currently use the Sony 20mm 1.8 and Zac does also! Here it is: amzn.to/3xzlz1T And here is a video I made on it: th-cam.com/video/p07giug-IF8/w-d-xo.html
@@benjohnsoncreative does this lense crop when in 4K at all?
its so weird you dont get that many views your videos are very good.
I focus on creating evergreen content over trending content - to me content that gets views over time is better than views all at once and then none. I’m also still fairly new to the platform, working the long game!
@@benjohnsoncreative Well I think you will make it. Your videos are top notch!
Do you think that auto power off temp could reduce the cameras lifespan?
I’ve never had that issue on any of my cameras before
@@benjohnsoncreative Thank you for your quick response!
Same. I’ve never had an issue with the temp power off
I need something like this cause I'm still using my phone for my vlog lol
Check out this one as well, it’s amazing and will save you about 2 grand: th-cam.com/video/HK4IcdUSYps/w-d-xo.html
What are the best video settings for TH-cam?
I recommend this as a starting point:
4K
24fps
Shutter 1/50
Aperture 2.8
Iso: adjust as needed but keep as low as you can

First!!!! 🙌🏾
You win! Haha thanks for watching Eliseo! 🏆
having excellent autofocus in video in a camera with bad rolling shutter kinda defeats the purpose. i mean, if you have to keep still to avoid the rolling, then you can't make full use of the autofocus in scenes where you need it, im guessing...
The rolling shutter is fine unless you’re doing fast back and forth movements. So if you’re wanting to do really fast sport filming I think this may not be the best option, but for most uses you won’t notice the rolling shutter
@@benjohnsoncreative What focal range did you shoot your rolling shutter test at? I’ve shot some concerts panning back and forth using the 24-105 and when I spin I zoom back to a lower focal range, then zoom in on the subject. I don’t get rolling shutter when shooting that way. I’m sure using a longer prime lens focal range will cause rolling shutter more but that would happen on virtually all cameras except possibly a global shutter but then again, who would be running and gunning with a longer focal range.
I just don't understand why a person would need such an expensive camera for TH-cam videos. I've seen great videos shot with smartphones and cameras that are way cheaper than a7IV ... I guess if money is no object, go for it.
It’s much more suited for filmmaking TH-cam channels or people who also do freelance work
@@benjohnsoncreative I would agree with you on that. I do some outside work, or I'd doing all my TH-cam stuff with a smartphone and pocket Osmo. But I've got the other gear and use it.
The quality here is ridiculous
Thanks!
