Great video. Not sure why being near fast travel is a plus for a base as your pal console lets you fast travel out and acts as a marker for porting to. Some great locations there.
Yeah, it's literally the opposite. The further away from a fast travel point, the better, since the base adds another fast travel point. It allows much easier access to certain areas.
I've been using the area you were flying over at 3:53 for my first base. It's not perfectly flat and doesn't have a respawning mineral node but, otherwise, it has the wood and stone to get started and there are lots of useful pals to tame.
At 9:29 on the video I think is the best spot for your primary base there's not much to worry about it very big and will fit a base fully it is also up on a cliff so you are raid proof you can still fight the raid easy if you like but they won't come up the cliff then also near by metal to supplement your metal farm
Yeah. It can be a good idea to just manually respawn a bunch at the beginning of the game to unlock the fast travel points at all of the respawn points. Alternatively, you can just unlock one every time you happen to die.
Great video man, thank you. I was just playing palworld and I got raided by like 5 relaxaurus’ and now just thinking about moving everything to a new area
4:17 This is where I build the first base every time. With the computer well placed, your pal can farm berries, wood, rocks and paldium... But not iron.
It was a pain to get to before i learned you can respawn warp to it but the top left corner of the map has really really good locations to build as well. Forgotten island and Icewind island are my favorites. Icewinds only issue is its a bit colder. There are tons of spots on either where you and friends could both setup if desired.
I'm using the area below the starting point. I'm not sure if I should move out of the ruins (I like the aesthetic) for a better base location or stay where I am.
I set up two bases, both with berry production so the workers are fed - beds, hot springs etc. One base is a production facility - farming/furnace/production machines, the second is in an ore rich spot but has ranches between them. Everything gets delivered to a box by the pal console - this way there is more than enough room for everything - I'm lev 50 with everything built and lots of spare space. The third base I use as a roving teleport place - plonk it down by some coal or quartz, so I can easily farm lots of it then delete it remotely from map when I'm done and place elsewhere.. Didn't really need to expand any bases doing it that way.
Hey iam new in pal world please can anyone tell me how he open map in mid air can anyone please help me how we can open map by clicking which key on your PC can anyone help me? 5:09
I built my "getting to know the game" base at the first spot you mentioned away from the beginner island. It's a good spot for a "production" base in the early game. Several ore nodes scattered around for beginning stages, quick and easy access to the boss tower and a bandit camp beside that, tons of pals to tame and relatively close to the Small Settlement and a Black-Market pal trader over by Desolate church. You will need a satellite base for ore/coal once you progress a bit since the few nodes you have access to are depleted quickly, but for the "early" game it's good. Couple of drawbacks; It's raidable from 3 locations. From the plateau where the boss tower is, from the stairwell leading to the beginner island behind and to the side, and from the back going to Small Settlement, though the one from the beginner island usually goes to the same spot as the back. Not so bad at early levels, but it gets to be a bear once the raiders get beefed up. Also, unless you place your box just, right the lake/cliff face/rocks can interfere with structure placement and can lead to the whole area feeling a bit cramped once you head into higher level production.
i found my favorite spot ingame out of beauty/aesthetic and it has NO ORES, i really hope they make ores a bit easier to find or some sort of way to make it more accessible if you want a place that looks amazing without many resources. some of us want a pretty base xD and i have now a favorite spot but yeah. im torn bc lack of ores for ingots
You just need to unlock a second base and dedicate it to mining iron. There are at least two or three places in the game where there is a crazy number of ore nodes. Try to fit as many nodes as you can in the base then fill it with miner pals that will mine forever. You will also need to put a hauler and some farmers if you want it to be totaly self sufficaint.
Um, are you sure you've played this game? @10:48 you said that you can automate mining all of those individual ore nodes. No you can't. Your Pals can only work within your bases blue circle. So, your pals cannot go mine all of those individual ore nodes and therefore, its impossible to automate anything. And you can't have 2 bases (Palbox) near each other either. Wow. Dont listen to this guy.
I’m using the second spot rn and it’s not the best in terms of space maybe try making the pal thing on the other side of the bridge because more then hf of the base ends up in water and you can’t build to extend that over water
The second place you showed with the water pond and the bridge is where I put my first base. I have unlocked a second base and keep moving it I can’t find a good enough spot as my first base haha 🫠 Good video bro thank you
I got a question can you build bases without the palbox I already have 2 bases and since you can only have 3 bases max ive marked a couple places really close to fast travels with good open space that i want to build a base on them but can since you cant have more then 3 bases
Well kinda doesn’t matter cus raiders spawn from a singular point and path the same way Even if you were on a cliff the flying raids will kill you which are annoying af
@@dojyr3130 that’s now how flying pals work bro I already know you’re lying. They follow their path and fly over your wall once they reach your bases circle
Thx dude I haven’t moved put of my starting base at where you spawn and space is a *struggle* I needed another base just for breeding and a ranch now I’m gonna move here and hopefully all my stuff and future things I want can fit in just one or two bases
Good to have two bases then a temp base. So temp base by the bosses ur fighting. Temp base by the 8 quart nodes. And so on for fast travelling and death point.
There are only three things you need to make sure you have INSIDE the bounds of your first base. 1. Ore 2. Ore 3. Ore 😂 Seriously, you can build mining and lumber zones yourself, but you can’t for ore. Make it easier on yourself. 👍🏻
I’m currently trying to move my base because the Lv 38 Mammorest. Any time I get raided he’s in my base and annihilates all my pals. I’m trying one of the other islands. Thank you for sharing!
Hmpf...I truly need to start new it seems because while I now have one very good base (that can do everything - except make wool and stone! Why? If I make stone there all my mining pals will start mining stone, thus they will not mine ore! I tried, man I tried and frankly? I want to scream at this point! It's frustratring having to shuttle stone from my starter base to my ore-base because it is needed there! Hopefully they will make inventory global, because this simply sucks!), I made a lot of mistakes :(
I went with an ore base that also takes care of ranch things, breed pen, condenser - things I dont use often. Main base has the stone and everything else for processing. Grapple gun is key to moving ore and wool across. The other work around I did for awhile was just destroy the stone and re-build it as needed. Global inventory would be epic though

it's only better when it comes to moving base😅 but it still doesn't give you enough space or close to Ore.
Because multi-player exists lol
@@Ashcroft1313 just get overweight and use a grapple hook. Can move with full inventory of ore if you wanted to. Just grapple to where you want to go

I like the spot with egg spawns. Wish there was a way to link bases though to share resources, since it seems u can't extend the build area.

Make your secondary bases nearby a fast travel tower, so you can still fast travel to it, but you won't be able to have pals work there.
Terrible locations, have fun being raided from 360 degrees. You don't need to be near a tower, your Palbox acts as a fast travel.

it works out because now you and all your pals have high ground advantage and half them get stuck down there, hell throw in some bear traps too

something for the future maybe.
