After the birth of her third child, Rebecca Barker feared her high sex drive might be a problem. She became obsessed with having sex and five times a day with her partner just wasn't enough. Psychosexual Therapist Dr Thaddeus Birchard explains how sex addiction is a real thing and how Rebecca managed to overcome her problem.

I know this comment is based on something she said in passing but maybe it can help someone going through an addiction that doesn’t realize or want to admit it’s an addiction- I am an alcoholic. And I can tell you 100% it IS an obsessive compulsive behavior. I do not enjoy it. I do not have fun. It is not a party. It is an obsessive urge that I have that I cannot control.
Well, the part of an addiction, almost the very essence of it... is the obsessive urge of course. Otherwise it's not an addiction. The main difference between addictions, is the cause of the urge: mentally or physically, or a bit of both.
Like my past 4 years+ of food addiction. compulsive overeating and gained 60+ pounds.

This was my wife after pregnancy. I couldn't keep up - once a day is enough for me. So once a week we hire a 'BBC bull' who comes round and takes care of her needs. Occasionally we'll bring multiple guys over, as long as they're respectful. She's happy and satisfied and so am I. It works for us
