Answer is that Naval ships are more cheaper, easier to build, maintain and when a naval ship gets attacked planes can go flying but aereal carrier would just fall down with the planes inside without any response of the crew.
They are *much* slower, though. Which is why they are forward-deployed to places like the Persian Gulf, Japan, the Mediterranean, and other locations in anticipation of possible crises.

@@moinmoin531 I agree, it's not the best but is definitely a great game.
They probably would be using drones instead of fighters to get rid of the unnecessary bulk and weight that comes with an additional ten personnel per carrier plane (using the shown example from the video). As long as the drones are tied to a specific role & range from the parent aircraft it should allow them to bypass most UN agreements.

It’s a decent idea. But you have a lot of issues to contend with.
AI, even if superior to humans, is too easy to hack. No matter how advanced anti hacking is, someone can get through anything.
Next is control. If you use a human to remote control it, it’s once again susceptible to hacking and even jamming. If you jam communications than you at best lose an expensive fighter and at worse the enemy recovers it.
With a pilot, manual control is completely immune to hacking and there’s no possibility of jamming. Even if you jam a pilot’s communications and radar, he can still get home with the aircraft intact.
I personally don’t think drones will ever replace pilots. They’re just too susceptible. Can drones compliment an Air Force? Sure. But it could never replace it.
@@milkduds1001 simple fix, two traditional microfighters on board. They'd act as recovery or just preventative measures against capture. Also you only listed one issue not the several you say there are.
@milkduds1001 well you can't really hack a loitering drone that is approx 15 seconds away from destroying your aircraft
Why can't they just make them carry battle drones or something. Like a small compact drones with lethal ordinance that don't rely on just fuel from the plane, but is either fully electric or a hybrid to lessen the cost of using more fuel

The pilot's helmets remind me of the Deviantron Antane-RVEGette Girls who all had the power of flight, with helmets that had full face clear, and/or tinted visor, as well as attachable/detachable breathing tubes connected to their Cosplay Armor's backplane. B-21 next generation bomber program is working on using a fleet of drones to mess with and misdirect enemy air defenses using older B-1 bombers to carry/launch drones to the edge of enemy airspace then turn back while B-21 RAIDERS would hit the targets. Or just use B-21 to carry drones themselves.

I like the concept of constant air attacks carried out by a strike group and a carrier.Being able to bomb whatever below return to the plane and get rearmed rinsing and repeating.

Drone aircraft are becoming more and more viable.
It's time has come.
Coming back to this video, what makes more sense is a space carrier of aircraft (manned or droned) due to the free fueling provided by being in spacial orbit above someone.
An actual airplane air carrier is mostly a waste of resources.
There's the cost of having to put soldiers into space doing nothing until they're called for. Living in space in extended periods is terrible. Drones could be an option, but they could be jammed. Plus, it has to survive re-entry and landing, as it'll be a one way mission since putting it back in space would be very difficult and will require plenty of fuel.
Helicarriers would be awsome they are big yes and if it fails to stay up it can become a comet, Also it woukd need huge propultion just like in the movies but it would be more than awsome
Airborne ISR birds carrying 15 drones are where we really at. That’s all I can say.

9:08 why not multiple editions which fly in formation and keep in contact yes it would be better if they all had the same capability’s but for example some guys have better and more guns that focus on destroying enemies, radar informs everyone and just pack the fuel up a bit on everyone or make it easier to be refueled

The planes would have to be launched from behind the 747 and be retrieved at lower speeds, at a lower altitude. I feel likenthe concept could work. It would just be ridiculously expensive.
To solve the fuel problem: just use hybrid/electric propulsion, like hybrid cars.

hey what about we put F-35Bs into a heavily modified C-5M super galaxy airborne aircraft carriers that can be used to carry and launch F-35Bs! the F-35Bs can also refuel with other fuel tanker aircraft in a large airborne aircraft carrier fleet! that would work quite well you could fit like 3 or four of them in a C-5m super galaxy by the way also its already preloaded with ordnance! the F-35B V/STOL capability are perfect of this! it's also sealth witch gives bonus points !

I have an other idea, fill the Carrier with Fuel, ALOT OF IT, the attach the refueling hook to each aircraft guarding. When the fuel is low, activate the pump. In combat unattached the hook, go into battle, afterwards refuel.

I remember hearing Russia about a decade ago planning a flying carrier that could deploy a massive range of military vehicles to anywhere on earth within 7 hours. It wasn't solely aircraft, and I felt that couldn't have been more terrifying.

I think I know what you are talking about. It is an amphibious aircraft that can float and land on water surface. Since it can just fly above the water surface it goes faster than other traditional air craft carriers

What if the crew was doing their own thing, And a attack strikes suddenly. If it takes 15 minutes to get 10 fighters out. how long would it take for the crew to get ready? and then get in the fighter jet and make sure everything is correct or OK?
