BrrrakeF1 - Under the Skin of Endurance Racing's Advanced Tech
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 8 ส.ค. 2024
- Endurance Races can last up to 24 hours at some events in both IMSA and WEC, and to power the exciting on-track action, you're going to need some serious tech. Not only that, but the governing bodies need to police the racing, and with 59 cars running at 2024's Daytona 24, that could easily be a daunting task. We sent Blake Hinsey / @brrrake, former Formula 1 Performance Engineer, to chat with the teams, drivers, IMSA's team and @boschmobility, who supply a huge amount of tech and data to the race series, to find out more on the tech powering Endurance Racing.

Positively awesome video by Blake. IMSA and WEC to a lesser extent is the way forward for competitive racing and fan engagement. We are entering a great era in sports cars. F1, as awesome as we all know it is needs to inject much of this into the series. Just about every F1 fan I know has become absolutely interested in Sports Cars. Great job by Blake to recognize this and switch gears for a bit..
Solid video @brrrake! Perfect person for this.
Thanks for bringing some bts for sports car racing. IMSA and WEC are so exciting to watch. Nice to see the tech that goes into it.
Shockinh Autosport posted something diffrent than F1
Finally some videos about real racing
I'd like to know who brought all this together? Blake got amazing access to drivers, IMSA, Bosch etc. doesn't seem like this was something Autosport organized.
Great insights! Hopefully this marks a growth in focus on sportscar racing after the trend of the last few years in the motorsport world has been to oversaturate with Formula 1…
I'm an electrical engineer who works on a lot of these technologies. It's annoying to only hear people talk about mechanical engineering-related stuff when it comes to racecars, thank you for shining light on the electrical side as well!
Thanks for this. This is where Cadillac should be, rather than being coerced into F1 to make up the grid.
This is excellent ! thanks ! it was year and year that I don't saw a good technical subject about motor race ! please MORE !
so good
This is what an educational tour about Auto racing should be ❤
Awesome insights. Blake never disappoints. More of this please!
As someone who loves tech and Motorsport, this was a really interesting and insightful video! Cool to hear about the systems that make everything work
This is awesome. Great production value.
My man Blake!
Nice, Subscribed...
So happy to see Blake back talking about IMSA. Also, Lambo is NUTS to think their new GTP is going to survive an entire endurance race with Grosjean on the roster.
I stand corrected on Grosjean, Lambo had a good race (helped by like 13 FCY lol, but still)
was at the rolex, missed sebring (travel) IMSA is the shits!!!!!!!
So, This, is where you've been. I assume you're in Sebring... Weather must feel like TX. I was an Al Holbert fan, he's Still the IMSA Goat.
you need to EQ out some of the lower frequencies when you use your studio mic so it sounds less muddy
✅✅😍
Wait, I thought the OEMs were the one designing their own hybrid systems?
Not LMDh
lmp2 isn't spec :( There's four different chassis available just everyone goes to oreca
So it's spec then 😂 if it's all oreca
@@aaronwestley3239 well no because there is one ligier running sebring. Even if only orecas are run the regulations allow 4 different lmp2 chassis so it wouldn't be spec by regulation, just spirit. INDYCAR, F2, F3, those are spec series.
@@Sargent-Mike the engine is spec though, unlike Indy. Not disagreeing though
Isn't spec racing where a team can only race locked parts by a third party and cannot be modified, nor built in house? Even if there's 4 different chassis and bodies, it's still spec racing as a team can only select locked parts that cannot be modified.
Basically spec 😅
M8 GTE next pls who’s down ?😎
Can you please ask bmw to do a video about the M8 GTE
There is just not enough content
LMP2 isnt spec in imsa
I forgot, one team decided to run ligier 😅😅
Now plug in some racing games for guys with no budget for a sim.
Real Racing 3
Seems shady that for two videos now, Autosport hasn't included an "Includes Paid Promotion" caveats for all the Bosch stuff.
It clearly says it on the upper left hand side of the screen when you start watching the video... not sure what you are seeing??
@@AutosportOfficial No it doesn't. Why the fuck are you just lying? Even if it did, that doesn't disclose that its an ad.
@@AutosportOfficialnot in TH-cam app for iPad. Is a problem in the app… in the browser the message appears.
