Community Takeover Highlights - Warrington vs Leigh

On the 20th April 2024 the Warrington Wolves Community Foundation had their Foundation Takeover game for the Wolves vs Leopards lineup.
Included in the takeover was a Learning Disability rugby and Walking rugby game pre match on the pitch. As well as a performance from WolfPrint, our disability arts, dance, music and drama group in the concourse from their upcoming production of Annie - the Musical. Alongside that, WolfPrint also had a dance on the pitch at half time and before kick off you could see our Wheelchair team in action and there was even the opportunity for people to get into the chairs and have a go themselves.
And lets not forget about our amazing OFFLOAD participants that came out to do our flag duty. OFFLOAD is our mens mental fitness support group that takes place every Tuesday, 18:30 at The Halliwell Jones Stadium. Special thanks to local community club Crossfields, for coming down to lend a hand with the flag.
It was a great day seeing so many inspiring people take part and be part of our ever growing community.
It's also worth paying tribute to Lord Hoyle who sadly passed away earlier this month. Hoyle was a huge and passionate rugby league fan and was Chairman of the club for a decade between 1999-2009. He famously led out the team at Wembley Stadium for our Challenge Cup triumph over Huddersfield Giants in 09 as we ended a 35-year wait for silverware.
