This video talks about concept of iBGP and why it is required. As we all know that there are multiple Interior Gateway Routing protocol available, so the question of “Why iBGP” comes to everybody’s mind. iBGP actually serves two purpose,
    1. It takes eBGP routes from one AS and advertise them to other AS
    2. Inside an AS, all the iBGP speaking routers have the consistent view of BGP best path.
Please go through this video to understand the detail of above two points. Happy learning !!!

Hello Sir, Thank you for the explanation. Suppose AS-300 is a company network. With thousands of routes transiting through AS-300, will it not overwhelm the internal routers. My point is we are not using an IGP protocol for redistribution as OSPF/EIGRP RIB does not provide support for huge number of Routes. Is this where we implement MPLS??? Grateful if you can confirm🙏. Thank you

Hi Reetesh !! There are many techniques in BGP through which you can avoid an AS to be a transit AS of different service providers. One such technique is route filtering. MPLS use-case is slightly different. I would suggest to watch my video on "Why behind MPLS". Here is the link, th-cam.com/video/eUSDSFk62eo/w-d-xo.html
