The Revolution is the best band he ever had. He tried to relive this in many ways. I can tell he missed The Revolution in 2000 when he came out with the Hit N Run album
Prince was the reason I started playing in 1989. I heard his guitar work on Electric Chair and Batdance from the Batman Soundtrack, and said to myself “I want to do that!”

His band rehearsals are better than some gigs! A real sense of hard work from all involved. Hours of relentless rehearsals back then! Now where is the Parade rehearsals on footage!?
I wish Prince kept the Revolution, they harmonized well with Prince. Natural vocal chords just amazing no need for tweeking up the vocals, just a natural.
@Tony I have an unopened LoveSexy LP. I'd like to trade for a diff Prince (any Prince & The Revolution) LP. They all came w/posters & TRUE lyrics on the record jackets. So good. If anyone's interested & NOT a shady shiester, I'd oblige. (& if you're not on the level, Prince will haunt you (& not in the good way)!
Have always enjoyed watching this over the years - the rawness and that small-enclosed sound of the drums. This appears and disappears on TH-cam and so it is good to see it again. Thanks for the upload.
@@princebootlegchannel That’s it - new Prince fans are joining us every day and you are helping to keep his legacy live. When I originally saw this video - years ago - it was very poor quality (both sound and vision). Now we have this. It makes me wonder just what is in The Vault - I think you and I should be allowed to go and audit it (all expenses paid and a healthy salary too!).
I miss the man. I was always into Prince and his music because he was diff than everyone else....... He blew up quick with little red corvette but once Purple Rain hit the theaters, radio, tv, Prince was God for a while! It's a GD shame drugs take all the good ones, a damn shame................... You're the best for sharing this! Thanks😘 Watching Prince the conductor, while listening to Lisa. It IS a transition when classically trained 10-12yrs to integrate your vocals! But w/most of us, "practice makes perfect". Prince was exceptional. Ps:FREE got me a B grade in class!🤷♀️ I forgot that we had a collective performance until the morning of! Guilty. I'd memorized the album b/f pre-k (it's true. ThankU big sis♡) & Never took guff from ANYONE🥊abt Prince. He's still part of daily life here, either musically, lyrically, or simply a soul penetrating look or a jestful sneer. When you've got expressional eyes, flaunt 'em! Those masks only reaffirmed this. Prince's not gone. He has transcended. Take care🎵💜☔
My friend had a poster of Prince in a g-string above the stairs in her apartment way back in the 80s. We’d grab his crotch every time we went upstairs! 😂 #hornyteenagers
Imagine rehearsing like this every day for HOURS and HOURS. I wonder if this is the basement of his Kioma Trail home/studio (the purple house) in Chanhassen Minnesota?
The best drummer Prince had was John Blackwell My least favorite band was thirdeyegirl. That didn't mean Prince wasn't awesome then I just didn't care for that band.
Prince and Wendy are 2 of the biggest reasons I pick up my guitar every day. The Revolution is my favorite incarnation of his band.
YESSSSS but he had a many incarnations...thats why we love and miss him. the world got fucked up in the aftermath of his transition. si o no?

The fact that these rehearsal tapes exist proves what a perfectionist he was.
Correct!!👌👁
Missing Prince so very much! So sad he’s not with us. Loved him since my early teens. God bless him in heaven 🙏❤️❤️❤️💜💜💜💜🌹🌹🌹💋💋
@@princebootlegchannel he wasn't though , he often used and shipped the first take rather than iterate the individual layers
he was the opposite of a perfectionist. listen to dirty mind and you'll know what i mean
I don’t see a perfectionist here. I see someone who likes to play and experiment.

37:40 Something in the water….best version ever and this is possibly the finest guitar work he’s ever done. What an amazing solo!
Try this video I made. Watch it in full as it goes the the live performance 🤝

Thank you I was trying to remember what that song was called !!!
Does Antibes know his pedal arrangement or amplifiers he was using at the time?
Listen to 3rd eye girl's version 😉

Man. This is my first time hearing 17 days now i cant turn it off.
woah. one of my fave Prince jams. so so good. Have you heard SPACE?

Prince: "What do you call that?"
Bobby: "What?"
Prince: "Ba-krr"
Bobby immediately changes the kick
😛👌🤟
He is the greatest ofall time never will be. another

The rehearsals were just awesome as the actual concerts! 🔥🔥
Absolutely..👌🏆👑
"17 days" is a great song . First heard in in the movie Girl 6 way back in the 90's.
Man,,,, practice was a totally different Prince experience! 🎼🎶🎵❤
Incredible. Was there. In the neighborhood. Sounds better today than ever. Whoa.
That guitar solo on “something in the water (does not compute)” 🤯
44:08 - I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet. But your kids are gonna love it! 😃
That solo…love love love!
This is how they honed the finesse and the lightning quick communication on their stages . Full on Re-Hear-Sal.... total genius.
