I’m trying to figure out the year of my TS50, can you decode the vin to determine the year? VIN TS50-50646

Two things that may help with this:
What is the date (MTH/YR) of manufacture? This should be on the VIN label.
Do you know what the original color was? Suzuki used different colors for different model years.
Your VIN is within about 300 of mine, and my project is an early 1973. It's possible yours is late '72 or early '73, but an answer to one or both of the questions above will be helpful.

The bike is blue like in this video, the only vin is the stamping on the frame.. the headlight bucket is black, not chrome, the front fender is also painted and mounted to the upper fork frame, not mounted the the wheel forks.. I do have a photo of the frame with the stamping on it, but I’m not sure how to attach it

@@Krazycat321 Let's take these things in order:
      > Given the frame number you provided and the body work is blue, this all suggests the bike is a 1973 model. Though it's possible, I doubt someone went to the trouble and expense of replacing all the body work from another bike.
      > However, I do believe the headlight bucket has likely been painted, or possibly replaced from a totally different bike. If you're willing, scratch through the paint in an inconspicuious place, like on the lower back and see if it's chrome. I suspect it is, at least if it's original to the TS50.
      > The front fender mounting is to the bottom of the headstock triple tree, *not* the forks. To my knowledge, this was the same for all model years of the North American spec TS50s. Therefore, based on your description, I believe your bike is consistant with what I would expect.

@@kwrightway I think you might be right.. it’s not worth it to change out all the bike cosmetics.. I’ll take a closer look at the headlight bucket by scratching it.. not a big deal.. it’s confusing when you go online for images, because they show so many variations.. besides eBay, GP parts and Partzilla, who else do you use to find parts.. I lucked out and found a mint NOS carburetor from New Zealand! But now I’m at a loss to find a head (#11111-26000) newer heads seem the same but they don’t have the same gaskets part numbers so they must be different..

@@Krazycat321 I generally use Partzilla or eBay for parts.
Regarding the cylinder head, why do you need a new one... is the original damaged in some way?
