Omg yes! And NYU has a program for transfer students from community colleges and a scholarship for those transfers. This is also kind the route I’m taking. I just wanna try finishing 1 year of my BS Computer Science at this community college/Uni and then transfer to NYU -that’s the agreement the school has with NYU.
@@heybahi7 i’d suggest just go search nyu community college transfer and on their website they have a list of all community colleges that they are partnered with like for example i saw the bronx community college and note its only new york community colleges, that’s what i noticed
The thing about going to a 4 year university is that you can build stronger relationships because you've been around said people for 4 years. However, with community college, you will transfer to another school after 2 years (if you want to continue) then you have to start building friendships all over again. And my main reason to go to college is to build friendships lol but then again it is cheaper than uni soooo...
Thank you soooo much😍😍😍😍 I am glad I found your videos, they helped me in finding a school and I choose community college because it’s cheap and easy to transfer my credits. So it will be something new for me I need to put in the work
One thing im concerned about/ don’t like is the fact that they don’t have that young demographic as you say. I want to be able to mingle with people my age and do things with them yk. I understand you can do that when going to a 4 year program but you won’t be starting as a freshman where everyone is new and trying to make friends. I’m very much timeline oriented too.
Hey Lebone, great video. Thanks for all the advice and no you weren’t “rambling”, everything was well articulated! I have a quick question - did your community college offer you accommodation or did you have to get your own off campus accommodation? If it is offered by the school, is it paid for by the scholarship you receive or ? Hope to hear from you soon!😅
Community college usually do not have on campus housing. But my my community college had an apartment building near the school that was in “partnership” with the school. Or recommends students to live there. Housing for community college is your expense and would not be covered by any scholarships.
@@LeboneM Hey Lebone. I sent you an email a few days ago. Can we please schedule a zoom consultation? Let me know how we can work that out, would love to engage with you. Thank you! 🙏🏽
I have a Dominican fiancé that wants to study at my local community college. What’s the process on applying and getting a student visa when applying for community college?
Hey! I suggest calling the international student services at the college she is interested in and they can guide her on which steps to take. Good Luck!
It depends. A lot of the times people get certificates, associate degree, and I know SAC had a nursing bachelors degree program. Obviously it depends on your degree/major. Research and see what is needed for that specific field you are interesting in. And weigh the options. The cheaper it is to get your education, the better. Good Luck!
Hey there,so my daughter just got approved for f1 visa and she will be going to Indiana,I live in Minnesota…how can she change school and move to Minnesota???please respond to this
Because I applied to community college, they put 2 year. It's not your choice to put 4 year or 2 year, it depends on the type of school you apply to. If you go to community college and transfer you get additional years added after you graduate and transfer. I hope that makes sense.
@@LeboneM thank you 🙏 well, ngl i’m just not sure where to start. i live in the UK, i want to try to go to community college in north carolina. i was thinking of trying to do an AA for 1.5 - 2 years (idk if that’s possible). i really just don’t know where to start the process

I hate the essay part so much 😭
So draining lol
When is the right time to start applying since the school year starts in September?
Around October till December for fall in take.
Do they require result from other grades or only grade 12 result?
For community college, I think your metric grades are sufficient. However for university, they may need from Gr8 till Gr12.
And get your Visa deny by the VO
Please can you share the name of your community college? I’m pleading🙏🏿
San Antonio College based in San Antonio, Texas
Hi dear, is it possible i speak to you privately?? I really need to ask some questions strictly regarding this topic.
If you don't mind please.
Hey! Send me an email. :)
@@LeboneMcan you help someone to get admission into community college
Quick one, did you apply for a scholarship while still at home or you automatically get offered when being accepted?
You receive it with your acceptance letter.
how was your matric results? is studying abroad for A+ STUDENTS?
You can apply to study abroad as long as you did not fail.

I believe she needs to discuss that with the school's DSO to help her transition.
Hey 😊 this was very useful thank you. I wanted to ask about the entry requirements for San Antonio college, is it hard to get in?
No its not hard to get in. It's a community college, it has 100% acceptance rate.
@@LeboneM okay thank you
how many credits did you take for your two years at community college?
Enough to graduate with a Associate Degree, I think 64 credits.
I would like to ask , is it true that it’s harder to obtain a visa if you get expected into a community college?
Hi, I received my visa when heading to community college so I can not speak on that. I think as long as you show true intentions, you'll be ok.
Can I ask what questions were asked and how you answered them?
Hi Lebone
What did you submit for a proof of fluency in English
I took the ACT test which waived the need to submit proof of English proficiency.
hey there Lebone ,kindly please share where to apply for scholarships for community colleges
On you institution college website. Much more easier to get those versus outside scholarships.
@@LeboneMhi lebone! Just eanted to ask if international students can work part time while studying in community college?
