Thank you for a most enjoyable video! Each person working there to make this project a success, is an enthusiast! They knew why they were there & what to do - brilliant team work. Would love to see the carriage restored.

Like seeing the professional special tight turning gas motor - hydronic rubber tire road trailing bogies being put to good service by the contractor while backing up to attachment.

well, I don't know much but I do know that they installed those new shiney bolts in the bolster plate on top of the truck upside down... they are supposed to go in with the nut on the bottom so that if the nut backs off the bolt will still be hole to keep from jerking the plate off thereby ripping the body of the car off the truck.

in this case i dont think thats an issue. it looks like the car is going in for a complete restoration, so the trucks where put on just to be able to move the car. will be removed again once in the shop. i cant see them resto'ing the car while leaving that corroded steel underneath, between the car and the trucks. i dont see any way to fix that corrosion without lifting the car off the trucks again.

Hi ! If You are a hands on workman … getting the lock washer & then the nut
to stay in place from under the two steel plates … while turning for threads …
and not dropping one or both several times while in the process … 8 times …
I think most of Us would be an old dog … and do it just the same as seen here …
Knowing that is much easier … and able to verify & maintain in actual service …
You must be taking from aviation mechanic service as required in manuals …

The car was probably wood construction with truss rods. Later a steel fishbelly underframe added and the body steel plated. What the lenght 70 ' ?
What distance was the road trip ?
I like the undercarriage used, simple with not much stripping. Steps and battery boxes untouched. Without trucks it weight 50, 60 tons ?
Nice job for a not bad shape car for its age.
