Again a great educational film, covering social issues within the LGBT community. On one hand you have a young man who is likely living at or below the bread line and the money offered will provide him and his family a much better life,, so I fully understand why it was accepted. On the other money will never buy you love especially if you are older . I loved the script, the production, choice of music and the fact that Wayufilms offer new actors a chance to star in these short films. Oh Mon I have you know Oak was sleeping in that bed last week. Lol

I understand love is beyond our control. We can’t stop love, nor can we blame anyone who falls in love. But an adults shouldn’t fall in love with the youngers. Although the youngers are willing too, but what about their youth? Isn't it so wasteful? He deserves to fall in love with someone same age. The adults shouldn't use money to get their love as the youngers is easily influenced and tempted by things like this. We are all once young. Adults should better understand and lead them to the right path. I mean, you can’t change the fact that you were born like this. But at least do not stop their opportunity as a young man. Money isn't everything but everyone deserves to have their own happiness.. Anyway this is amazing. The reality is hurtful but you (producer, crews, actors) did a great job here, spreading awareness, moral value and good lesson. You all deserves support and thumbs up 👍👍👍

Sorry, I am nor sure if I understand the message? Did I miss anything? Whether or not buying boyfriend love is good or bad, making people feel inferior is another thing. But from i saw, no one was coerced into the relationship? or deal? probably no "pre-nuptial agreement written", but don't we assume that for this kind of situation, both sides should keep their relationship exclusive and inform the other of the need for opening it up? What i saw is the younger guy uses the "spare" time to find his lover? Should he feel free because nothing was written about what he can do when the partner is not around? I don't feel the older guy was trying to make himself or the younger guy feel inferior? No one is coerced? so why the inferiority concept was brought in? I feel the older buy being demonized? please enlighten me?
There was a verbal agreement at the beginning. 00:02:58 "...But it will be on condition that you not be seeing others, sleeping with others, getting another job. You have to come sleep with me 4 days a week..." However, the Man is older and is using his age (a superior position in Thailand) and money as a means of power. Does this make it an appropriate agreement? Does Boy's cheating/breaking the agreement carry any moral weight? Boy knowingly used the older man and his money for 3 years in spite of having a boyfriend on the side for those 3 years. Is Boy any less immoral than the older man? This seems to be a very morally gray area for the whole story. No one seems to be innocent or without immoral actions. (Speaking of the immoral actions of lying, deceit, inappropriate use of power differences, taking advantage of poverty, etc [nothing related to having sex between consenting adults])

No one is perfect in the world and none is immune to immoral actions/thinking. for situation as described in the story, I chose to make distinction between the relationship delineated in the story, which tends to have existed for a long time in history, in different societies and in different forms (e.g. young marrying old, ugly marrying pretty for similar reasons like that boy or selling kids for money) and the action " cheating on the other person in the relationship". Those relationships are mostly uncoerced but developed under financial pressures and generally considered sad, undesirable, demoralizing arrangements or happenings but not "immoral relationships" which only apply to incest and infidelity. The action "cheating" on the other hand is generally considered "immoral". In cases like this, people usually expect or seek "understanding", "empathy" or "sympathy", with the boy for the immoral action of 'cheating" like: money cannot buy real love but they do not use the sad or undesirable nature of the relationship as a reason to rationalize the action/cheating as represented in the story: "does not make you inferior", which almost sounds like accusing the older man of wrongdoing, making him inferior (I didn't see anything like that on the part of the old man) and the boy was resisting by cheating on him! For me, the boy could "feel" inferior and choose not to like it, the relationship could be seen as conferring inferiority and he could resist by leaving or asking for changes etc. Such feeling or the nature of the relationship could make his cheating action "understandable" but "justified or justifiable" - That's my opinion and 2 cent. Sorry, I am nor sure if I understand the message? Did I miss anything? Whether or not buying boyfriend love is good or bad, making people feel inferior is another thing. But from i saw, no one was coerced into the relationship? or deal? probably no "pre-nuptial agreement written", but don't we assume that for this kind of situation, both sides should keep their relationship exclusive and inform the other of the need for opening it up? What i saw is the younger guy uses the "spare" time to find his lover? Should he feel free because nothing was written about what he can do when the partner is not around? I don't feel the older guy was trying to make himself or the younger guy feel inferior? No one is coerced? so why the inferiority concept was brought in? I feel the older buy being demonized? please enlighten me?
There was a verbal agreement at the beginning. 00:02:58 "...But it will be on condition that you not be seeing others, sleeping with others, getting another job. You have to come sleep with me 4 days a week..." However, the Man is older and is using his age (a superior position in Thailand) and money as a means of power. Does this make it an appropriate agreement? Does Boy's cheating/breaking the agreement carry any moral weight? Boy knowingly used the older man and his money for 3 years in spite of having a boyfriend on the side for those 3 years. Is Boy any less immoral than the older man? This seems to be a very morally gray area for the whole story. No one seems to be innocent or without immoral actions. (Speaking of the immoral actions of lying, deceit, inappropriate use of power differences, taking advantage of poverty, etc [nothing related to having sex between consenting adults])
@@thomaslong7262 thanks for clarifying - in a sense, my questions were rhetorical - I just wanted to make sure my interpretation was not misinformed and it seems it was not. No one is perfect in the world and none is immune to immoral actions/thinking. for situation as described in the story, I chose to make distinction between the relationship delineated in the story, which tends to have existed for a long time in history, in different societies and in different forms (e.g. young marrying old, ugly marrying pretty for similar reasons like that boy or selling kids for money) and the action " cheating on the other person in the relationship". Those relationships are mostly uncoerced but developed under financial pressures and generally considered sad, undesirable, demoralizing arrangements or happenings but not "immoral relationships" which only apply to incest and infidelity. The action "cheating" on the other hand is generally considered "immoral". In cases like this, people usually expect or seek "understanding", "empathy" or "sympathy", with the boy for the immoral action of 'cheating" like: money cannot buy real love but they do not use the sad or undesirable nature of the relationship as a reason to rationalize the action/cheating as represented in the story: "does not make you inferior", which almost sounds like accusing the older man of wrongdoing, making him inferior (I didn't see anything like that on the part of the old man) and the boy was resisting by cheating on him! For me, the boy could "feel" inferior and choose not to like it, the relationship could be seen as conferring inferiority and he could resist by leaving or asking for changes etc. Such feeling or the nature of the relationship could make his cheating action "understandable" but "justified or justifiable" - That's my opinion and 2 cent.
