I'm now at chapter 7 of FE 3H and I have a good way to go, but from my experience right now I like 3H more, still Engage is very good and solid and a game you should play if you enjoy JRPG's and specially tactical ones.
I disagree. Getting rid of weapon durability is lame and i feel like fire emblem 3 houses was really cool for finally making an interesting fire emblem story and i want to see them continue in the more narrative focused direction
@Dinklr Weapon durability is a weird mechanic, though. It only worked in 3H as a cost for using combat arts, and it just made it so you wouldn't use the super powerful weapons very often, which rather defeats the point. Having fewer inventory slots and infinite durability is a much more interesting compromise, since you're now worried about fitting different weapons on one character. Limiting staff usages is a far better way of doing it, since you don't have the guaranteed two or three warps per map anymore.

The Magic on Anna is probably because all weapon types have a 'magic' version with a Range of 1-2 that is affected by the Magic stat, despite being what's usually a melee weapon (As I've had units with magic swords do little to nothing only for Anna to use it and reduce units to cinders)

The very first mission I did with Alfred(or one of the first) he died RIGHT before I got the Time Crystal power. I tried going back but couldn't go that far and I play Hardcore in that if anyone dies and I complete the level then that's that.... Needless to say all interactions with Alfred on the Somneil or in cutscenes have been very awkward... Even more awkward now that his sister, Boucheron, Etie, Framme, Clanne and countless others have joined him as well! If you could refund skills to get the SP back, so you could experiment, I would love that system. The game seems to incentivize experimentation in so many other ways, but SP is so limiting.
I think the animations and gameplay are definitely an improvement and enjoyed them. I also liked how the colors ACTUALLY are kept when the characters change classes, gives their personalities still intact imo. But the story I found cringe. Its just Awakening plot line but every twist is literally seen miles ahead of time.
@@nahte123456 I did, multiple times because it was decent. SPOILERS The whole relation to the fell dragon by blood has been done. And at that point I didn't see it coming from a mile away because sure robin had clothes that showed he might have been a worshiper of the fell dragon but it wasn't particular if you didn't look for it. The good thing about awakening was that there was MORE after that reveal with the Lucina bringing the parallels stuff into it. Robin realizing he did horrible acts to people ontop of his relation, while subpar Alear is just finding out he just isn't plain divine .
I figured since Engage is supposed to be a celebration of the franchise’s 30th, it may have been intentional that a lot of the story has plot points from the other games.

@@calebgoodman3028 I’m glad to know that too. The 3H story really clicked with me, especially Claude’s route. So I want more games where the story is a highlight. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard Crystal rave about Tellius more than once
"Clanne got magic!" He has a 10% magic growth :D
Fyi Anna actually has the highest magic growth in the game, also for the maddening playthrough, promote ASAP, levels are counted internally for a unit and a promoted unit has higher growths
Will certainly make my second playthrough interesting when I get to see who survives and who dies.
19:10 Best mistake in Fire Emblem history.
30:04 Damn... brings back memories to before they all got the dead in my game....
Diamant and Ike getting an absolute Bitchin Boost at the end
This was how I found out that you can rotate the rings while polishing.
1:08:16 Ike jumpscare warning
I am quite happy to hear that the word "youtube" is catching on - nice work!
I'm glad that you follow what rt started with the "TH-cam" word , thats such a TH-cam move
I am so happy that I am not the only one being like Me Gongaga whenever Framme is Me? Okay
If you could refund skills to get the SP back, so you could experiment, I would love that system. The game seems to incentivize experimentation in so many other ways, but SP is so limiting.
30:45 describing Rosado as a girl
Shadow of Valentia is a fun game. You should check it out after Engage if you like.
1:40 Ah, but the difference is that Seth almost never gets bad
I think the animations and gameplay are definitely an improvement and enjoyed them. I also liked how the colors ACTUALLY are kept when the characters change classes, gives their personalities still intact imo. But the story I found cringe. Its just Awakening plot line but every twist is literally seen miles ahead of time.
Did you actually play Awakening? Because no it's not, at all. Awakening is all parallels and choices, this isn't even close to that.
@@nahte123456 I did, multiple times because it was decent.
SPOILERS
The whole relation to the fell dragon by blood has been done.
@@clausobv4446 i noticed more parallels with fates honestly, but yeah its not a compliment either
I figured since Engage is supposed to be a celebration of the franchise’s 30th, it may have been intentional that a lot of the story has plot points from the other games.
53:00 On maddening this map is just BRUTAL, lost my Louis on this one. RIP
I wish there was a part 2.
"Good luck to anyone who want to cosplay as this character, that hair is a ... ... ~TH-cam~"
40:54 "Every single youtuber dies" damn Crystal be savage
Is this the Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes engine? That's crazy that they brought that back into the mainline games if so.
Apparently, the game was made with unity.
Not the same engine.
@@navynarupan8979 Ahhh! I wondered. I was thinking because of the way they are fully modeling maps and such, since you can walk around them, etc, that it must be very different from the whole Three Houses engine.
id say the warriors:3 hopes engine actually was better tbh. that game even had moving objects in the support/cutscene backgrounds so you can pretend its not a jpg and we're back to none sadly
@@Kasaaz Three Houses had detailed map models too, cause you could zoom in to a 3rd person view during gameplay
1:08:46 u can see how "big" is Ike was
can't wait to play Sigurd's game officially on English!!!!!
Is it coming to Switch soon? I don't remember seeing an announcement for it.
@@erevanthegamer4141 i was being sarcastic, I'm sorry
@@peste4592 Aww, it okeh. I forgive chu :O
The Donation system is the biggest trap by the developers. Why they do this to me?! My money!
Only on the first run. Once you understand dog supremacy and donating for silver only, it makes maddening much more doable.
@@NoFaceOrGun I got at least one mule going so I could collect Rare ingerdients too.
Ike's English VA is also Yagami in Judgment and Lost Judgment and I hate it because I can't unhear it

*MEKKAH, DID YOU HAVE A HAND IN THIS!?*
Did Crystahl ever do a 3 Houses compilation?? I can't even find it on the stream vods channel x.x
Idk but other people said she didn't like it, so maybe it just wasn't uploaded.
Nephenee is her favorite? BASED, SHE'S MINE TOO
"I just gave the worst person sigurd" Funny I gave Framme Sigurd too and she would not stop killing everything
Yeah I gave her Sigurd at first as well and the extra damage on the initial attack really did help pick up kills in the early game. Then later I gave her Eirika and she became even more destructive.
FE Echoes is my favorite FE game, I really hope you'll check it out sometime 😄
Diamant is an insane unit. Build him right amd he becomes an unstoppable immortal
It seems very common for people to have jean fight vander in the arena
Girl, I was ready to binge this whole series after the first 15mins. But then I realized this was the only FE Engage highlights rn.
welp, you got yourself a subscriber
Huh, interesting, will there be a follow up to this?
12:49 common Boucheron W
Clanne has a base 10% magic growth. He needs reclassed to a physical class asap
1:03:00 Anna is actually the best mage in the game easily.
Persona Enjoyer and FE Enjoyer? Can We Get Much Higher on the Based Scale?
I'd love to see how Crystal would play a game like echoes.
Comparing Vander to Titania is wild, queen did not deserve that
So… did you play Shadows of Valentia?
Is it me or does marth look good with Red hair
"Dimitri with therapy" 😂
the second part?
YESSS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Framme-Sigurd is actually good lol
K but why was this cut the funniest thing ever? 55:50
Do you want to keep going?
Heh, no I’m good.
Come back-
58:03
Who voices this guy? He sounds familiar.
Alcryst is just Ishigami from Kaguya-sama Love is War.
I have no idea about fire emblem
Wow....your hit and dodge chances were so lucky early game. I benched a lot of the first guys so quickly because they kept fucking missing at 78%.
Don't you talk shit on Titania, she rules! =P
24:43 This game is pretty confusing with their units stats lol
You have Clanne who's a mage but has bad magic growths, and Anna who starts as an axe soldier but has bad strength growths.
My Alear was just as bad as yours, I was losing it at how badly strength screwed he was.
