She actually did kill him but it wasn’t on purpose he poisoned a fire grenade so that if one of them threw it and it broke, he would inhale the poison and it would knock him out, or kill him, either way the poison would cause him to let go of the spear.

I know for a DIDDLY DARN FACT that Monaca would NOT be crying , she would be either smiling or having a blank face , and the WOH should probably be glad that about-to-be's are being killed , not sad or crying , I'm assuming this takes place before the first boss battle since their all alive and have no scars .
