The fraction, root, and exponent templates are fantastic, and the general input system as well. I always love to have WYSIWYG in anything - calculations, document editing, etc. It makes it so much easier to avoid and fix typos. Polar conversion is also very nice to have. The stat stuff is fine, but in my experience, it's a hassle to put into a calculator and never useful (except when a course specifically demands it). Lacking a solver or calc stuff is fine, as at that point I would want to be using a graphing calculator anyway.
Not all heroes wear capes! You just saved me in time for my midterm exam. Thank you, kind stranger, for showing me how to use some of the features on this calculator.
when I was your age back in the 70s $80 ($434 by todays money)bought you a calculator that did a whole 4 functions.the fancy ones even had a percent key.
Do you think you could do a future review of the fx-991ES PLUS C 2nd edition? I'm just wondering how it would compare to the 300ES. There are no good reviews on the calculator.
From what I've found, 98 characters in one expression. One character corresponds to one key press so "sin(" would only count as one character and so would "1". "sin(55)" would correspond to 4 characters each being "sin(", "5", "5" and ")". "1+1" would correspond to 3 characters...you get the point... In any case, it should be more than enough.
why cant I get normal answers from this thing? type in simple equations and it just repeats them in the lower-left corner. Never had a calculator do this before.
If I come up with a value of 300 (for example) and I want to subtract it from 600, where is the +/- key so I can just turn the 300 to -300 and add it to 600? There must be a way to turn a positive number to a negative number the way millions of calculators have done in the past.
My bad for the misunderstanding. I own this calculator and you can use either the button to the left above the one that says RCL, it looks like this (-).
How do I change negative fractions to actually give me the decimal… seems pretty difficult for one of the most basic functions a calculator is supposed to make? Help please someone😂
The price is interesting but that's honestly too poor functionality even for a simple scientific. I think these calcutor should become getting considered only near or above the level of functionality offered by the Ti-30X Pro.
@DeluxeTroyer I know, Casio products are and have always been very interesting feature and price wise. I was only saying this precise model looks pretty unneccessary and uncompetitive to me, honestly too simple for a calculator that targets certain kinds of people with that design and price. It doesn't happen often but in this case i would largely recommend a Texas model, the Ti-30X Pro that i personally own, that with little more money gives you a ton of things more. Maybe not that pseudo-graphical interface but it can resolve polynomial equations atleast.
Wym? I own both and find that they are pretty on par with each other.. In fact the Casio has a more capable numerical solver which can solve longer more complicated equations than the TI-30x pro.
bought one in the Walmart Clearance Isle for $3. Don't really need one. But the chip is made in China and China has shut down. That is: nothing is leaving China. I am anticipating that calculators will become expensive until another low-end chip manufacturer is up and running - which may be ten years from now. So it's best to get whatever's available now because that's it. Of course, that's just speculation, but for $3 I can afford to speculate.

nicely done. You hit all the points I wanted reviewed

A lot of the modern ones like to ditch the sign change/square root buttons but keep the percent key. Really annoying tbh.
Thank you for your help brother just got this calculated before a final exam and you helped me out😅
Great stuff. Crazy compared to other scientific

The 991ES Plus obviously has more features.
I like this calculator just because I bought it to play Tic-Tac-Toe and Chess on it.
NGL, plays the games decently well.
Nice review. Thanks.
Where is the digit separator on this calculator kindly assist ?
Nice vid! Can you compute complex numbers on this calculator ? Say transform complex numbers from rectangular form to polar form or exponential form?
How can I do simple subtraction or adding for my son on this calculater. Having difficulty adding and subtracting money
yes u can😁
the [+] button is for adding, and the [-] button is for subtracting. You do not need to input money symbols.
How do u find reciprocal of a number on this calculator
How many terms or digits can you input in one expression? (Ex. Sin(a)+54+(b*c)+.....)

@@MathClassCalculator how do u get standard form
Thank you for the video!
I NEED A CALCULATOR FOR MATRIX PROBLEMS, WILL THIS BE USEFULL?
YES BUT THE 991EX PLUS WOULD BE MORE USEFUL IF YOU WANT TO SOLVE LARGE MATRICES.
why cant I get normal answers from this thing? type in simple equations and it just repeats them in the lower-left corner. Never had a calculator do this before.

@@WaterPidez you’re a life saver thank you for your reply!
also, if you go into setup, you can change both the input format and the output format.

IS IT ANY BETTER THAN Casio FX-991EX Classwiz?
Thank you 😊
Thank you!! How can ı activate to cmplx function?
Thanks for your review.. Can you help me to know where are the scientific constants on this calculator??
There are none. You need the more advanced version of this calculator. Sorry
Whats the difference between this and classwiz ?
Is this model allowed for the SAT ?
It says on the front "PERMITTED ON AP,SAT,SAT Subject PSAT/NMSQT, and ACT".
Yes, but why would you use a scientific calculator for the SAT.. just get the fx-9750GIII...
Is there a PV or FV function on this calculator?
Thanks!

You would use the substraction sign

how can this help in calculus?
Thank you!!
Good job. Upon edit; suggest a calculator for the +$5 to +$10
Is the fx-991ES plus better than this version ?
Yes. It's the best version of the ES Series model.
it doesnt have polynomials, do it?

Press the SD button directly above the DEL key.

This is their cheapest calculator, only around $10. The fx-115ES and the fx-991EX have way more functionality than this.
