Best years of my life at ft. Knox, I’ll have to come back at some point.

I lived in Radcliff in the 70s and early 80s and we had none of this just a grocery store and a bank. I would ride my bike down the middle of Lincoln Trail

I was an army brat until the age of 14. I am a 1994 graduate of North Hardin high School. I have spent a good portion of my life in Radcliff. I love this place and no matter how many times I leave, I always seem to come back.

Hi Bro, I know what you mean. Even though I spent a short time there, I recently made a trip back to Radcliff in May coming Germany to visit friends 😀

Thanks, I enjoyed the video, Ft Knox was my first and also my final duty station, I took basic at Knox back in 79 and didn't get back there until 91, just 1 year before I left military service, it really didn't seem like a lot had changed at the time other than just a few more businesses between Radcliff and E-town, after I left Knox in 92 I moved to Florida and went to work for the Post Office, I recently retired and decided to revisit Knox on a road trip in 22=Wow, some major growth in the past 30 years for sure and many of the old stores like Houchens grocery and the apartments we lived in are gone and the town has definitely spread out a lot, still enjoyed the visit and I was glad Knox survived the base closings, some of my prior duty stations like Ft Ord are gone now.

Watched your video again. You really picked a beautiful day to film. Yes, I agree with your view on the U-Haul and the choice to have that in the shopping center. Your delivery is excellent and I feel like I already know Radcliffe without having traveled there. So nice to see so many American flags. Thank you for your service! Will definitely have to visit El Molino's when I come there; love Mexican food. Thanks again for a very nice video.

Michael, glad I was able to present some useful information to you and others. Tired my best to show the town and it has to offer new comers. I'm now stationed in Germany but I miss my friends there a lot and great fishing. Sometimes I would drive around town and think of how blessed I am to here because of how beautiful it was. Lots of wild animals to see I really enjoyed that.

As a 1994 graduate of north Hardin high school and a former army brat…I love this town and will always consider it my home.

Thank you for your video Sir and for your service for our country. How is it living in Kentucky and at Radcliff? How is the economy and the grow in the state right now, do you think Kentucky is a good state to invest your money or open up a business? I currently live in New Jersey.

Thank you for watching and the comment. Great questions. Personally, I've met the most wonderful people and made lifelong friends. Fishing was absolutely great. I would suggest that you make it a point to visit Kentucky. See the cities, towns, and countryside. It will give a better feel for the place. I work for the US Army at Ft Knox and was stationed there a short time. Now I'm stationed in Germany.

@@MyLifeMyTravelsMyAdventures Thank you Sir, thats what I'm about to start doing, flying to different states and visiting different cities to see how is the way of living in those places, it's always good to get to know different places. I really want to move to a place where the cost of living is cheap and everything is affordable and i can live in peace with not so many bills and also work and progress and save my hard earned money that's why Kentucky caught my attention there seems to be allot of opportunities over there and is also a beautiful state and not over populated which is great and that's exactly what I'm looking for peace of mind at this point. That's great that you are able to travel to different places I'm dying to go on vacation to Europe and get to know all of those countries over there I wish you good look over there and take care.

Hello all! Have considered a move to KY, Radcliff in particular. Am interested in any comments about life there. Thank you for any feedback, good, bad or in between!

I moved from Germany to Kentucky. So things were different for me and working for the military. I found that life there moved at slower pace. Which bothered me at first but then I met the most wonderful people and that really made the difference. Of I love to fish so fishing on base was just excellent and I did some traveling around the state which was also great learning more about the state. For me the key was finding those good friends. Cost of living is not high either and you find some excellent BBQ along the highway.
