Family lived in LaBelle for decades. The swing bridge in the video is the Fort Denaud bridge. You literally passed right by where my people used to live-which was just to the east of there. There used to be a grocery store about 5 blocks south of those docks. Now it's a Dollar General Market. There was another one just a little further away. But since LaBelle got big enough to rate a WalMart, so much for your local grocers.
I have followed you from the first day one , I am heading our in a few years, I wish I could travel with you but I am on my own except for my schnauzer. Your positive attitude is killer. I am going to miss your posts. really enjoy both of you and especially ollie
Watching your Great Loop videos has been wonderful. I hope you keep going with more boating adventures when you finish this series. Recommend a boating cookbook, as your amazing recipes are as enjoyable to see revealed as the journey has been.
Love your videos, found you just about a month ago, because of the loop, have enjoyed binge-watching. Love your style and personalities! Will continue to watch no matter what adventure you are on. We are travelers at heart, that want the loop to be one of our adventures too.
I want to share with you two that I was in Nashville last weekend with friends and, after watching your Nashville side trip episode and your visit to the Five Daughters Bakery, I told them we needed to stop there. You were right, those 100 layer donuts were fantastic! Thanks for enlightening us to that experience.
Ya the devestation is crazy down in Fort Myers. We were just down there in December and went to Joes Crab Shack for dinner on the side of the marina and the owner told us a developer bought the marina and is not going to rebuild it.They have other plans for it.Sad to see it go.Fort Myers will recover
No boat, dock or wall was damaged and nobody was injured. That, by definition, is a good /successful locking! Maybe not the smoothest nor prettiest, but nevertheless good!
Wife and I are staying weekend in Darien. Thought of you and the blessing of the fleet. Unfortunately, that's next week. Condo is just past the bridge, behind Skipper's seafood restaurant. People left some NO NATZ (spray and candle). We'll see if it works better than Skin So Soft!
Good luck! I hope NO NATZ works 😁 Darn, it always feels worse when you're so close to an event, but just miss it! We felt that so often on the Loop, where we would arrive to some cute small town on Thursday and then it turned out Wednesday they had some fun town event! Hope you enjoy Darien!
We did. Going to find out when it is for next year and make plans. Kind of tough though because we're outside of Augusta and it will probably end up being Masters week. We stayed in a condo right in front of the free dock.@@SchoandJo
Thanks, Rick! We primarily shoot canon and have the r5 mirrorless camera with a 15-35mm lens. We get our music from musicbed and epidemic sound. Cheers
Hard to believe that you are nearly at the end of chronicling your Loop journey. Your videos were one of the few that I tried to watch even during the worst of my cancer "voyage." It's going to be very strange that I will not be watching these videos any longer. Did you put Pivot on the market or are you keeping her and putting her on the hard while you do your van, land explorations?
I'm not sure exactly what you mean William, but I'm not sure if you know that advertising is the only reason we are able to be doing this? As in, if we had less advertising we couldn't afford to go on this trip and make these videos. So it's impossible to have one without the other. If you want to watch without advertising, you absolutely can; you just need to purchase TH-cam Premium.

Jen, great job locking! As always, your meals look and sound so yummy! I really think you could make a great meal from scraps if you had to! 🤣😋
😂 thanks so much, Suzanne!

Ooh, that's super cool. Makes my mouth water, wishing we had one close by!
Nice to see Jen driving the boat..."this too shall come to pass" (remember when)
Jen has come a long way! 💪

I love your course pivoting explanation. Good thoughts for life.
❤️ Thanks, Mindi
Do you see many loop boats with outboard engines? I’m thinking a twin outboard boat about 32feet might be a little more efficient and less draft.
No boat, dock or wall was damaged and nobody was injured. That, by definition, is a good /successful locking! Maybe not the smoothest nor prettiest, but nevertheless good!
Absolutely!
Geeesh. Next thing ya know Jen will be cooking and doing laundry too lol
haha, i know right? Its not like she does enough already.... 😅

Ahh darn, well thats a great spot at least!@@johnmarschalk1977
Jen are you a chef by trade, or just an amazing cook?
That's a nice compliment, but not by trade, just a passion!
Enjoy your videos … what equipment do you use for your video and where do you get the background music?
Keep up the good work

My neighbors lost their Sanibel Island condo to Ian.
That's super rough 🙏

Kinda sad coming to the end.
Bittersweet for sure!
You guys must be over a year behind on videos
Thats correct! We have each video's date in our description. This one was on February 6th, 2023.
yeah was just watching and thinking, those boats are gone now. I'm on the NFM side. Still not a ton of progress but some.
That's great news that there's some progress 🙏@@BoilerCat255
@@BoilerCat255 I think they are like 56 years old now….lol
Too bad about the advertising !
