I was getting some stuff from Amoeba the other day and as I was leaving this guy came up to me and asked "what's in your bag?". He wasn't interested in my stories about the records, he just called the police and now I'm banned from the shop.
+H. Wellington and she is so accomplished in her own right, did she get a leg up being Paul's daughter? of course, but she built her brand bottom up, I admire her, there are so many rich kids out there squawking about one thing or another (I'm looking at you Joe Corre.)
Charming bill, Paul and Linda raised the children there selves, every where they went, they took the children, Linda cooked and looked after her children ,so up yours mate 🖕🏽🇬🇧🤬🏴
So like her lovely mother, Paul and Linda brought their children up grounded, Sella and her siblings, went to state schools,Loved Linda McCartney, it was through her that i became vegetarian 🤘🏾🇨🇮🇺🇸🇬🇧🏴🧚♂️🧚🏿♀️
It's the stories that people tell about their choices that makes this program. A nostalgic history of that person's life. Both the happy and sad memories.
Paul and Linda have 4 wonderful children. Talented, down to earth, what hands on parenting can do. Stella is such an incredible designer. An artist in her own right.
Bends95 ..... my dad was a very prolific artist in all mediums. Started painting at 14 and never stopped until he painted his las at 89. All while being a career navigator. I get how when you grow up with it that it’s sort of not a big deal until you’re an adult and can understand the drive and passion. I miss him terribly. How awesome to be part of the McCartney dynasty now. Lots of supportive relatives. Nothing could be better.
One of my favourite What's In My Bag's! Most are artists who give your a run down of their influences (which is the intention obviously) but Stella gives us the soundtrack to her upbringing and - considering her parentage - down-to-earth attitude. Love it!
I've watched over a dozen of these so far and Stella's emotional attachment to music is the most captivating thing to witness. I want to watch it again.
I agree with you jaybon 23,i always wear my Levis original denim blue jeans, and the second is Wrangler greensboro blue denims ☮️☮️☮️♀️♀️♂️♂️ until now is May 30 2019 🍻🍻🍻🍺🍺🍺
Excellent taste in music, and there is an intelligence there. It should be noted with respect that when Sir Paul married her mother he did not marry an ornament, Linda was not the most beautiful girl in the world, but she was a working woman, and artist in her own right, so kudos to Paul for following his own drummer in that respect.
Is she strong? Is it important for women to be strong & beautiful? Do people only count when they ate strong and beautiful? You are fooled by confidence. A lot of people have confidence based upon financial security. Really it's just a confidence that you have enough cash. You are free from having to work because you must in order to feed children or make ends meet.
crypttonite I think she comes at it naturally. Look at her parents. Neither were slackers or quitters. Paul’s high energy sort of demands everyone to fall in step, but Linda’s gentle nature but strong nurturing balanced Paul’s Ever Ready batteries. Linda was not a passive person. She worked her butt off raising four kids ( five including Paul, said in a very affectionate way).
Haven't seen this one and I'm blown away by how Stella seems to be a very, very nice person. The story about Pet Sounds and how God Only Knows reminds her of her mom and makes her want to cry just hit right in the feelings. Linda and Paul did an amazing job with their kids.
Alex D. da Silva I agree, But I see it more as emotional maturity. She’s very attractive.. I’ve never seen an interview with her. She needs more camera time promoting her designs and creations. My bucket list would to have one of her creations in my closet. My son has all my Beatles and Wings albums. The only thing left is a Poster of “Wings over Europe” in Zurich in 72. I talked a very good looking Austrian guy to lift me on his shoulders so I could reach it. I hope to have it framed soon. That was the first time I had seen Linda, and she looked like an angel with her blonde hair glowing from the stage lights. Gosh, I was only 17. Seems like yesterday.
God damn...After The Goldrush, Tim Hardin, Julie London, Pet Sounds, Band On The Run, Parklife, Hunky Dory.....Girls got taste! And her mum was Linda, what a woman. Just brilliant.
Stella seems to be so kind and has great taste in music, of course. I have so much love and respect for her parents. You can see how much she loves and misses her mother too, although Stella looks happy. Just a brilliantly talented family. 💙🙏🏼💫
Even Jeff Beck has covered 'Cry Me a River'. Here are three versions on which he plays - w/Lulu, as an instrumental, then with Imelda May. th-cam.com/video/KtV1-3iSun8/w-d-xo.html
Wow. I knew almost nothing other than the obvious about Stella, so I looked her up when I started playing this video and saw that she was a fashion designer. Thought, "If not for her famous heritage, we wouldn't be hearing from a fashion designer." But I was so pleasantly surprised by how deeply she thinks and _feels_ about music. To my surprise, this was one of my fave WIMB ever. ❤
Impeccable taste in music. And a big thumbs up to the Radiohead selection. Thom Yorke is a lyrical wizard. Slightly disappointed Stella didn’t elaborate on the albums shown at the beginning of this clip. SMB, Zeppelin, etc...
Amazing selection. Pet Sounds, Radiohead, Blur, Tim Buckley's Grace,Hunky Dory... She's obviously into music. What a great insight into her musical upbringing in the McCartney household. And she does not have "Band on the Run" on vinyl, which is hilarious!
how awesome I could see Paul and Linda just sitting there smoking a joint with the kids around and Neil Young on the turntable.. Stella's got awesome taste in music too
I recently aquired a Grundig console and a friend gave me a couple of albums from his collection. Completely his choice, I got Aerosmith, Get Your Wings and Dr. Hook, Sloppy Seconds. Can't wait to crank up this early sixties console!
She is really incredibly talented and was smart enough to make her mark in a field other than music, where she would have always been overshadowed by her illustrious dad. While having a famous name might open a few doors, there's a lot to like about Stella McCartney and what she has done with her life after going through those doors.
There's hope for Stella when she brings out a Tim Hardin lp. Why isn't he collected like Leonard Cohen. Everyone and their brother has covered his songs. The fact that she picked "Hunky Dory" for her Bowie choice is super cool too !
Big fan of her daddio 😉 I love how he raised all of his children to be such kindhearted, intelligent people🧡 not to mention how beautiful they all truly are (I mean why wouldn’t they when they are the splitting image of Paul but also the lovely Linda)
Of course she has in-depth knowledge and appreciation of music. She would have the musical education most people dream of, with Paul and Linda over her shoulder showing her the great stuff.
What a very cool woman and obviously a knowledgeable fan of music. I can’t imagine the stories that she’d be able to tell. This is one woman I’d love to have a conversation with on music.
Haaaaang on a minute. She said she studied at St Martin's College. Could Stella be the woman that Jarvis Cocker sang about on Common People? Intriguing.
I love how she speaks of her mom!
I was getting some stuff from Amoeba the other day and as I was leaving this guy came up to me and asked "what's in your bag?". He wasn't interested in my stories about the records, he just called the police and now I'm banned from the shop.
Did he think you were stealing? Why were you banned?
The Thought Bubble Look up this word: "Joke". 😉
Brilliantly mate
Lol
Lmfao yes!!
She seems to be nice and quite down to earth. Celebrity parenting done right :)

Except for the couple of obligatory and predictable curse words thrown in for good measure.
Charming bill, Paul and Linda raised the children there selves, every where they went, they took the children, Linda cooked and looked after her children ,so up yours mate 🖕🏽🇬🇧🤬🏴
@Charming Billy You couldn't be more wrong.
@@duffbaker9554 Oh no curse words! Grow up.
I like Stella, you can tell she had great parents (talented, soulful and loving)
lynne danieli I agree..... she tells it like it is. I love that about her. Very much like both her parents.
she's cool
+koykah ... and very real! I like that.

I'm not surprised she has such awesome taste in music!
It's the stories that people tell about their choices that makes this program. A nostalgic history of that person's life. Both the happy and sad memories.
She seems to have gotten the best of both her parents personalities.
Paul and Linda have 4 wonderful children. Talented, down to earth, what hands on parenting can do. Stella is such an incredible designer. An artist in her own right.

The last one is Paul's with another wife. So Paul and Linda have 4 and Paul has 5.@@ChannelOutScotia
Stella McCartney has great taste in music, stellar picks!
no, 'stella' picks! ;o)

She really did pick some wonderful albums.
Stellar McCartney 🌠

I loved her talking about Radiohead, my favorite band and Jeff Buckley because Grace is my fave album
Damn, seems like radiohead affected her alot during her young life. Jeff buckley is also great.
One of my favourite What's In My Bag's! Most are artists who give your a run down of their influences (which is the intention obviously) but Stella gives us the soundtrack to her upbringing and - considering her parentage - down-to-earth attitude. Love it!
Shame I can't like more than once. Great music and great conversation. She's really cool.
Please let there be a next time with Stella McCartney.
What a good experience to have: being a kid recalling your first music memory being your Dad's music with Wings- Band on the run!
I've watched over a dozen of these so far and Stella's emotional attachment to music is the most captivating thing to witness. I want to watch it again.
Hippie parents often make nice kids. And we should all wear denim coveralls during the day.
jaybone23 or if you are raised by Jay Leno

I wear Pj's cause it's a pandemic, don't' dress up in overalls.
Didn't expect to see Radiohead nor blur picked out, very cool to see

+omfug So true.
A working woman, yes, whose father owned Eastman-Kodak company. She was probably wealthier than Paul.
Nautilus1972 v
Nautilus1972 Her father was a lawyer and had nothing to do with Eastman Kodak.
Nautilus1972 father was a lawyer.. Nothing to do with Eastman Kodak..nice try though
Her music & fashion tastes are impeccable, she's also a strong and beautiful woman, what else could you ask for! She's an inspiration

I love Stella's soul! Such a big heart with great musical tastes!
She’s amazing! Love her taste in music and her witty commentary. I felt teary when she mentioned her mom and Wings. 👐👐
What a true and passionate person Stella is. She has that true passion in how she speaks, really nice too see this episode.

"Paul"
Well, it's her father, so...

The first album that I bought as well.
