  • During the Croatian War for Independence, war activities reached the Dubrovnik area at a beginning of October 1991.
Serbian and Montenegrian forces commenced operations on Oct. 1st, 1991.
By the end of November, they reached the entrance to Peljesac peninsula
    ( the second-largest peninsula in Croatia )
Croatian forces were weakened and disorganized and were trying to establish the defensive line.
By the beginning of December 1991, they held two important hills on the old road toward Ston, an ancient town at the Peljesac isthmus.
    Hill 200 and Hill 158.
By the end of December, the Hill 158 was under enemy control.
Croatian forces withdrew to Hill 200 and successfully held it until May 19th, 1992, when a Croatian offensive to deblock the city of Dubrovnik started.
    WARNING:
The area was heavily mined, and demining works started somewhere around 2005. , but the thing is, that going on a terrain like this bears it's risks, so I wouldn't reccomend it.
