    Multitasking is an incredibly important feature. Plan into the future, see the problem and already have a solution. To be able to turn a loss into a victory.

    In my view supply chain management is a broad and multi-disciplinary subject that requires a manager to have very goodcoordinating skills.This is definitely a good/ attribute of a good supply chain manager

    Thanks for sharing that, I met one of those extraordinary managers, and you are right on the money in my opinion. This guy would let you work and refine your skills, making you always (proactively) accountable (without discipline at all…) Respect!

    A good quality that is hard to come by now for a manager is honesty and getting to the point quickly, without excuses.

    I think communication skills (which might fall under people skills) are probably important...particularly the ability to explain what's going on to the people under (and above) you in an effective way.

    Emotional intelligence is key for any job, but in Supply Chain is important since you will be working with internal and external members. No matter how good you are with business skills if you can throw everything away if you get too emotional during a discussion or a crisis

This industry is new to me and always wanted to know how the job market is for new entrants. It will be great a help to me if you can suggest me some entry level jobs in this industry as a don't have any experience related to this field.

    So I come by this video, possibly for a different reason to everyone else. Im very curious and determined to develop my genral knowledge and imput in all areas, which i feel like a role this plays hand in hand for me.
    I know you mentioned you need experiences, degrees, and people skills/understanding, but how would i start with a role like this or get the experience? To even start, or is this something, you won't get the chance unless you have a degree?

    What are the top 5 things a supply chain manager should track

    • @supplychainsecrets
      @supplychainsecrets  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As a supply chain manager, there are a number of things that we could track. Exactly what, will depend on the type of supply chain being monitored however in a general sense the following can serve as a starting point:
      1. *Inventory Levels* - You need to make sure that you have the right number of products to meet the demand.
      2. *Supplier Performance* - Regularly checking your suppliers' performance can help you identify areas that can be improved. This applies to both product and service suppliers.
      3. *Distribution Costs* - Understanding your warehousing & transport costs can help you optimise your supply chain and minimise your cost to serve.
      4. *Customer Satisfaction* - The more you know about your customers and their needs, the better you can serve them.
      5. *External Risk* - Understanding where risks to your continuity of supply may come from and developing a strategy to deal with them will minimise potential disruptions.
      You can also check our blog post for more detailed information on each topic.
