Burn wood pellets in my Yukon all the time, they burn completely with a bed of coals, start the fire with wood then add pellets as the fire burns down.
Get yourself a sheet of expanded metal and cut it to fit the bottom of the stove. 6 inches worked for me. This will keep the wood pellets from falling through the grate.
How close you have to be to feel the heat? Don't these generally push air upwards and not radiate? My assumption could be wrong as I have only used smaller rocket stoves similar to this. Can someone explain their experience with this?
Thanks! I was wondering about that.
Thank you again. Your videos on the Ranger have convinced me to buy one. Solo Stove should reward you somehow.
Glad to know that. You will enjoy it.

Good review! How do u keep the wood pellets from falling thru the bottom grate holes?
There are several TH-cam videos that show the pellets. You have to cut a circle of wire mesh to prevent pellets from falling through the grate.

Would love to know how long 10 cups of pellets will burn
10 cups will burn for about 30 minutes. When the fire is out, you just add more pellets and the fire will go on.
