- The soprano cornet is a brass musical instrument. Very similar to the standard B-flat cornet, it too is a transposing instrument, but pitched higher, in E-flat.
A single soprano cornet is usually seen in brass bands and silver bands and can often be found playing lead or descant parts in ensembles.
It is not easy to master the soprano cornet, and only a few are allowed to become big names. For example : Peter Roberts, Brian Evans, Kevin Crockford, Alan Wycherley etc.

awesome compilation. I was wondering about the Swedish Hymn though. which performance is it? I can't find it but it sounds great and I would like to listen to the whole thing.
Swedish Hymn is flugelhorn solo. This part is a band-only performance, with the soprano cornet playing the melody (theme).
