She hasn't had many popular roles since the OC and if I remember correctly she was emancipated or sued her own mother for taking all or most of her money. I think she had a some drama and addiction issues and mental health issues as well. She started going down (in my eyes) when she started hanging out with Paris Hilton and that gang back in the day and dating that one jerk who's friends with Paris. I personally think that is when the drug addiction came in. There's more I can't remember. I always really liked her and her acting. It was sad seeing her spiral down. Alot of it was due to the people around her using her and selling stuff to tabloids. Sad. I hope she finds more success!
Most reality shows I've seen desperate for lime light particularly in the UK, at least the Hills are good at it (I can't fully speak for the new show cause I haven't seen it)
