Happy deep dive into P1harmony ❤ They've been slaying since debut, so much to catch up. Their B-side are amazing. Their slow songs are not appreciated enough. Not just the vocal or rap, but also their lyrics are very meaningful.
I just got into them this year through “Killin It” but it was “Sad Song” that offically made me a P1ece[and also I didn’t realized this until I connected the dots but I’ve been following Jongseob since he was on K-pop Star and I’ve been wondering all this time what happened to him. Turns out he did debut😂]. Watched their movie over the summer last year; wow their great actors. Every morning over at college, I would turn on one of their songs to hype me up and I really fell in love with “Love me for me” and then when I watched their variety content{and trust me; there’s a lot of it}, i realized how funny they are and like; not just Keeho but the whole group is hilarious.

You should check out some of P1harmony’s B-sides! They’re equally good like their title songs. Since you like rap, I’ll recommend heartbeat drum (NEED TO LISTEN!! Jongseob had said in an interview he tried to mimic a drum), new classic, bop, mirror mirror (Jongseob was mimicking the sound of wiping a mirror). (bonus+ late night calls, its my personal favorite and it’s super underrated. Your reaction to Keeho’s “all of me” tells me u would like this too just a hunch! Both Jongseob and Intak are super addicting to listen to in here.)

if you wanna learn more about the members' lyricism i think the lyrics for "before the dawn" are their best ones, they're beautiful. intak, jongseob and jiung wrote practically the entire song. there isn't really a proper translation out there so if you do check it out i'd love to send you my accurate translation including annotations that explain some things that can't be fully translated to english (the available ones always have multiple mistranslations, i think they're done with an online translator bc the meaning isn't being interpreted, specially jiung's part bc it's like pure metaphors).

Their cover song videos are 🔥! “Maniac” and “good 4U” are top tier. Their rappers take out the 2nd verse of the songs and add their own Korean raps. So good! They also showcase the group’s ability to sing in English and the vocals and visuals are amazing. Definitely worth checking out. Keeho/Theo’s vocal cover of “Needy” and Jiung/Theo’s cover of “Off My Face” as well as Keeho’s cover of “Always” are highly recommended as well. The vocals/harmonies are SO freaking good. You won’t regret dipping into this side of their content.
Please checkout WAYV too when you have time, theyre a Chinese subunit of NCT and their music is so much different than the rest of the subunits. IMO they get the best songs!!! Members are funny too. I thijk you’ll love Poppin Love, On My Youth, Love Talk, and Phantom!!!
