Actually I don't understand your question well but I will say, just make sure the roots are still in the soil however ways you cut or harvest the grass.

How many months you normally harvest from first to second harvest

Normally in the rainy season, it could be harvested in every month. While in the dry season, it may take about 2 - 3 months.
