  • Hey guys... I'm back again with another Hydrodynamics Mission done with an easy robot build for this year's FLL Robot Game. This is the Flower Mission where you have to drop a big water in the flower container and make the flower rise up for 30 points!! Hope you enjoy!!

Very nice series, helpful for our new fourth and 1yr old fifth grade builder/coders. Thank you Mr Hino & team.

That is genius! You've inspired our new robot for U.K. Lego league! Gone simple and the kids have managed 3 challenges in 2 lunch times

Oh wow.... I am so happy you let me know. I can feel the frustration of teams that either can't or don't want to build the big, complicated robots. I'm glad your team is finding success!!!

LEGORobotics Mr. Hino you're telling me. Those videos of the monsters people have built are unreal and highly intimidating! Don't have the time or skill, especially with lessons to teach and all!
Simple works, simple will do. We have fountain, filter and well currently on our roster. They are dying to do the toilet. That'll be our next goal, I'm sure

thanks for this. I thought we built our flower wrong because the weight of the water alone is not enough. Apparently, you need to put pressure on it like you did to really get it in there in order for the flower to pop up.

We used the same simple method that you used but we didn't do that mission. I would recommend making your robot go a bit faster otherwise time won't be too good for you.

Sure a booklet robot can do the missions, but it isn't effective because 30 points in a little over 45 seconds that is only 2/3 points per second. (Good pps is around 1 pps)

I know Rapids....but beginning teams can't always build the big, fancy robots and get 1 point per second. They gotta start somewhere.

Totally agree, its a great start for amatuer teams!

Yeah Sifiso....well, if I wanted to really go fast, I would have gone fast to get there. I slowed it down just to let you guys see what was going on.
