Teflon tape from the hardware store does not work for the bearing edge on timpani. It is not adhesive on one side. Adhesive Teflon tape is available at Steve Weiss Music.

This is pretty good but you still at like every other video I've seen on Tiffany had changes and clearing, damn spell check I'm not going to resell Tiffany I'm going to leave.
What you all fail to do is tell us how to adjust the tension spring with the head off and the blocks under the towel, where should the tension be on the tension knob?
You've got to figure certainly in a school in the environment, that kids have been messing with the tension knob thinking it does one thing when it actually does another or not knowing what it's for. It's a shame but it does happen,
That is why we need to know how do we know the tension spring is at the optimal position before we move the temperature put a new head on or do anything with it?
No one ever mentioned this they just say if the pedal sticks to the top go counterclockwise if the pedal stays at the heel down, then go clockwise a few turns, I've heard five or six full turns, I've heard just a few half turns, well it's going to be as many times as you need
What if you start with the knob has been already all the wayclockwise, and if it goes all the way clockwise is that when it pops out?, or does it pop up when you go all the clockwise with the tension.
How can we know if it's turned into the mid position if that's the indeed where it should be when we start out with a new head?
They're absolutely must be a clear and concise answer because at some point the Tiffany are brand new at the factory with no head on them yet, what did they do with the factory, how do they set the tension knob so that it is in the correct position to accept a brand new head for the very first time?
