The Irish Celtic language is Gaelic. It's not used any longer. Andrea plays the tin whistle, Karen plays the violin, Caroline plays the drums and piano, Jim plays the guitar and piano. This is around 1999. Their all married and have children. They retired for awhile.
I am from America where rap is dominant. So there are cultures out there where a musician is talented with a instrument and can also sing? In other words where talent is required? This is mind boggling.
The Corrs, best bend ever!!!! Hope they will make tour again some time, couse there music is soo great and happy and all there songs are great!!! there pop and there folk music.
OMG is this awesome. The best of all of the Corrs videos. If it wasn't hidden under a title with the wrong instrument and missing the song name it would have a zillion views. And better resolution would be nice. But thank you so so much for posting!.
The Corrs eran los mejores del mundo, la mezcla de pop y música celta era increíble. Sus temas instrumentales hace q el cuerpo reaccione de una manera inexplicable. Qué vuelvan!!
That's Andrea Corr, she was the one who performed that beautiful tin whistle in Titanic with Celine Dion. Everyone thinks it's a flute, it was a tin whistle.
@greeneyedgeek Tinwhistles are indeed classified as a type of flute (specifically, its a 'fipple flute'), but more precisely they are tinwhistles. Its akin to calling an animal 'a dog' instead of specifying it as an 'Irish Setter'. Ask most any Irish traditional musician, they will tell you that is a tinwhistle.
can't help loving them :)they just enjoy the music they are playing so much that it comes through and makes one fall in love both with the tune and with the band :)I do so wish they started touring again... I'd definitely go and see them.
whats the name of the flute player she also played flute with celine dion on the song my heart will go on she`s great and the violin player too they all are great
@marqueA2 that was my point, then you cannot say an "Irish Setter" is not a dog, cuz it is. That a breed of dog is actually called a "dog", well that's another issue, but then either way it can't be said that a tinwhistle is not a flute, because it is a flute.
I don't like their pop music, but they put together a good traditional stuff...The fiddler and the bodhran player are great...yea, they're not bad... For those ones who like this stuff, try Birkin Tree, Lunasa and Flook :) they really rock
Interestingly there are two types of people common in Ireland. A Fair haired people and a white people with jet black hair. The native language of Ireland (and later taken to Scotland) is not the English language but is Gaelic which is named after the Gauls that once ruled there. The original inhabitants of the British Isle were not Gaelic / Celtic but were people such as the ‘beaker culture’ and it is believed that they came from the Mediterranean region.
Yeeee....quite nostalgic...❤️❤️❤️
