The proper way of installing bigger bearing is by the use Induction Heater. Or if it is not available, they should have at least use the heating thru oil bath method. Bearing should not be heated by open flame.

I think that the wear of the lathe bed in the center is very significant. The bed is experiencing excessive loads from the weight of the part, which was not designed by the manufacturer. I give a 200% guarantee that the machine bed requires alignment by milling along the entire length. As far as I understand, they are trying to adapt a machine that was not designed for this to do this job.
