Went on the Anthem of the seas back in 2015. Love watching your cruise vids. Makes me really nostalgic. Its an amazing ship. We had the one of the best holidays ever on there 😍

I think my original comment was removed as it contained a link to an article on camera settings to avoid the flicker from lights.
In short, it's to do with shutter speed and frame rate matching that of the voltage output of the lights. USA lighting is 60hz, (EU is 50hz) therefore your shutter should be 1/60 when shooting at 30fps. or 1/125 when shooting at 60fps (1/125 is as close as you'll get to 1/120 as this isn't usually an option) - the rule of thumb is that shutter should be double the frame rate.

I’ve heard kids but haven’t really seen any - did you find there were many kids on the cruise? Loved the bumper cars in Disney Quest they were so much fun shooting balls at other drivers and disabling them.

The food looks beautiful! Did you know that your wall in you cabin is metallic! We use the walls like our fridge at home to post stuff on like the daily activities sheet. Go down to gift store and see if they have some of those fridge magnets to post on your wall.

I am so enjoying your cruising posts, missing cruising so much here in Nova Scotia. The best thing I can do due to Covid restrictions is take a 10 minute ferry to Halifax. Normally at this time of year our harbour is loaded with cruise ships for fall colors. Have fun. I usually take a cruise from Boston ending up in Fort Lauderdale through the Caribbean at this time of year.

I haven’t ridden on bumper cars for years, but I remember them being a lot of fun, and clearly the two of you were having a great time with them. It’s too bad Nick doesn’t like anything on stage, especially since I’ve spent most of my life acting and directing theatre. To be honest, I’d rather see a play than a movie almost any day. Was the Queen show more like a concert or a musical with a storyline?

I’m like you just love live music and theatre. We are lucky being only half hour train journey from London so get to see all the musicals. We went to Back to The Future last month and now not so many tourists managed to get tickets to see both Harry Potter shows
